Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Of course she had felt reluctant to leave Spirane so soon, especially since Tithe had been called to perform other duties elsewhere. Then again, perhaps that had been her catalyst to departs from the slopes from some time; if she lingered towards the innermost region of Moladion, she'd faster be able to find her way to him if he required her assistance or if she grew... interested. Nonetheless, she had felt just as guilty departing from her mother once more, especially since she had temporarily put off speaking with her father. It simply felt strange to be attached to a territory once more and she needed time to truly work out whether she felt attachment to Tithe, Spirane or her family within it. After all, there were always other packs and she had no doubt she'd do well in any she chose. It felt too early to make decisions, particularly when she had been emotionally compromised thanks to the roaming eyes of others at the gypsy festival. Perhaps she had imagined it but it didn't matter - she hadn't felt comfortable seeing Tithe under the prying, scrutinous eyes of others of her gender. It made her feel quite savage, if she had to give the feeling a name.

She had returned to the most logical place in that case; the borders of the fields and the forests beyond, where she had adequate coverage and yet plenty of open area to hunt for small prey. She had even found herself a pleasant little den in the twisted, gnarled roots of a tree; it had taken her some time to entirely clean away the scent of fox but eventually, she had settled in quite nicely. She had a rather fabulous view of the fields and she had quickly taken to observing the traffic that moved through it. Several pack wolves had gone through, seemingly intent on returning home as they headed to the east and north. Loners seemed less inclined to stick around the area, perhaps out of fear of bears or cougars during the season of plentiful prey. In fact, she had even been able to observe a young bear in the distance at one point, though it had quickly left the area. Funny that, she thought, that both species feared each other so much and so, they rarely even encountered one another. At what point did that fear become a little irrational?

Of course, she had to admit her surprise (a pleasant surprise at that!) when she had finally found a loner. For a moment, the woman had made her suck up a breath, her fur reminiscent of Taika's and yet, it glistened with a much warmer, blood-like hue as the sun hit it. That in itself had made Pandora's eyebrow rise, let alone how the woman seemed to move with a certain kind of... defiance. Diginity, perhaps. It didn't seem to last long though and Pandora could not help but sigh in disbelief as the woman suddenly dropped into the tall grass, the tips of her dark paws poking up as she seemed to lay on her back. That had been what lured her over.

She loped over without hesitation, her golden form parting the dried grass as she came within several feet of the woman. The grass flattened out somewhat and now, she had been able to garner a better view of the stranger a she rolled about. Fascinated, she remained in silence as she watched with a tilted head.

"Are you attempting to lay a scent or put a scent on you?" She finally inquired, officially drawing attention to herself as she took another step or two forward, her head lowered as she sniffed wearily. Dead. Dead hare. She recoiled slightly, her brows having raised in silent inquiry then. It hardly seemed like a suitable perfume, no?
