The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

My Ears Hear Only Screams

Brave Soldiers Are Dying

Everything was mostly quiet since the last get together of the pack for the cougar invasion. The Spartan had picked up closely on two new scents, but they were quickly masked by Halinas. In all of his time in Abendrot he had never seen a pack meeting occur. His knowledge of who was who was mostly by his lurking around. He picked up a few names with faces. The three that had accepted him, only one seemed to stick around anymore. Halina. Though she wasn't the Queen, Scarlett Nights herself or Enigma, the girl who had mocked him most. Halina seemed to be more settled now and less of an antagonist. Maybe he had finally proved himself in the battle with cougars? All retained from the fight besides blood in his mouth from the male was a fractured back limb. It was healing quite well, only giving a slight limp when he would walk.

That was a glorious day. War was his specialty. After all, where had his old homes population gone other than killed off in the nights darkness? He was supposed to protect them, they sent him out to scout for any wanderers in search of food or water when the ambush came. Why did his life get spared? Was he to make something better of himself. He thought the war had gotten to his head and was making him go insane over the loss of his whole family in cold blood. Then he met the little she in the caves, Azula. She too was from here and in the battle. He had made his way to her den to ask for help with his leg, but she seemed upset. So he left, not wanting to disturb the beauty. It healed quite well with rest. Yet his mind was still in battle. How he set out on what seemed like a suicide mission with the hope that his pack was just behind him. The tree he scaled was perfect, thick trunk that was unbendable with large limbs to support his weight. Something he had learned from home.

The Spartans audits flicked to the sound of a howl, calling everyone from Abendrot in. There wasn't many anymore but there were enough. He picked up the hare he caught in the lands, deciding to carry it with him. He began to run in the sound of the call, rubies narrowing in to two forms. Halina and Gray Wind - The wolf who had killed the cougar with him, just the two of them while the others tried to kill it's mate. His rubies looked from both of them. "Halina, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, Kershov is gone. I have the sense that he will not be returning either. For that reason, I will be taking over as Alpha for him. I know we do not yet have the relationship that you had with him, or that I had with him, but I know how he trusted you. For that I am naming you my Beta.” The Spartan gave gave a soft smile to Halina and her mate, diping his head to Gray Wind and then them. Ygritte as you are new here and we just met, I am keeping you as an Omega for now until you prove yourself to this pack. I hope neither of you take offense to this, but ranks are earned here, not given out as Halina knows to be true.”

The Spartans tall frame sat down, dropping the rabbit to his feet. "Congratulations Gray Wind. I don't think we properly met, I'm Mabbit. I was welcomed here nearly a year ago by Halina herself, Enigma, and Scarlett Nights. How is you leg healing?" He tried to make small talk dispite the little almost teen pup that wandered to Halinas side catching his eyes. Black bands covering her tan sides, her eyes a bright emerald. Was she Halinas and her mates? The child sat in front of the warrioresses, between Halinas large front limbs. "Hello, I'm Ambrosia. Do you know my mother? She hasn't quite introduced me to anyone yet." The little thing spoke.

"One Spartan stands alone and shouts : This war is ours!"
