Samus could tell that Visenya was troubled, simply by her demeanor. When they had first met the girl had been playful, a trickster like the masked girl herself. It was strange to see her so angry and sad, especially as the words bubbled forth from her maw. The girl's ears fell flat against her head and she looked at her cousin with sympathy, giving a few slow wags of her tail. She didn't answer, not yet, holding her tongue lest she say something she didn't mean. She felt awkward talking to Visenya, her being the daughter of the previous alpha and all, and she wondered if her cousin would be angry at her for staying here underneath Roman. It wasn't exactly like she had much choice in the matter.

Visenya's next question made Samus tilt her head slightly. "Ya have a point, Vissy." She said with a hint of sadness in her voice. "Ya know, I dunno why. I think he wanted to make a home for his family... but he split up ours. I got my brother and sister still, but I miss you and Nym." She frowned, then, angry and sad along with her companion. She was right. Why'd he have to go and try to be the boss? It wasn't fair, and it hadn't really hit her until seeing Visenya standing before her. She bowed her head slightly. "I don't get it, Vis. It's not fair and honestly I wanna like this Roman fella, but he... did all this."

The defeated look that Visenya gave her made Samus cringe inwardly. She took a step forward after the other girl had spoken, and touched her nose gently to her cheek. It was a comforting gesture, a touch between family, a touch of solidarity. She stepped back again, looking at her cousin with a sorrowful expression. "Well it don't mean we can't see each other!" She said, trying to introduce a happier idea, although her eyes were still sad. "I'm sure I can come visit ya in Diveen, yeah? And then we'll be able to play just like we did last winter!"
