Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Morrigan
i'm so tired, i can't sleep
i'm a liar, and a thief

Morrigan stood beside Taika, her form poised and alert. They were, after all, in a strange land with an alpha that she did not know the demeanor of. This could go well or it could go horribly, but she was determined to keep a firm grasp on whatever situation approached them. She glanced over at Taika, who seemed a little bit flattened by the seriousness of this whole thing, and although the assassin knew that the gypsy was at least acquaintances with the alpha these things could turn sour quickly. But she did not falter in her stance, and her inky eyes flicked around every so often, scanning the terrain.

That was, until, another wolf joined them, and Morrigan could tell that this was not the alpha nor was it Coquette, so it must be Quixote, the brother. "You must be Quixote." She voiced, her tail giving a few wags. "We've been searching high and low for you and your sister." A wry smirk came across her maw at the comment. It had almost been fun, her and Taika's little adventure, and it was a worthy task, she thought, to becoming beta of Spirane.

Another wolf approached and he looked fierce, territorial, and Morrigan figured that he was probably pissed about their little gathering, especially upon asking Quixote exactly who he was. She wondered if he was unaware of the wolves that entered his packlands- it must have been theft, as Paisley had said, or else she was sure he would have been aware of it. He didn't seem like the type to let things slide. She swallowed and looked at Taika as she spoke, lowering her head and tail slightly, showing that she was no threat to Eden or to his pack. Taika had greeted the alpha like an old friend and the russet woman hoped that it would ease the tension some.

Once the gypsy was done talking, Morrigan took a step forward, dipping her head slightly. She was not one to cower in front of anyone, but the gentle show of submission should be enough to show him that she meant no harm in coming here. "If I may," She began, "I believe that perhaps, Quixote and his sister may have been stolen by a wolf belonging to your pack. It would explain why you were unaware of his presence here, if he had been snuck in by night... I can assure you that we are here only to discuss possible terms of their release. They are... friends of the new alpha of Spirane and he was concerned when they did not answer his call." Wordy, perhaps, but necessary. She could only hope an explanation would lower Eden's hackles.
