Nakato
eleven ; no mate ; no imprint ; frankenstein of asteraia |
It is nice, Nakato thinks, to hear an outsider speak fondly of the Monster and her dedication to her pack. While the druid does not understand the venom behind Zeltzin’s words about Jaidah, she listens none the less. There was much she did not know about the past of her pack and it seemed that the white female who continued to fail in her attacks was not a loved wolf. It didn’t matter much to her. What was important was that her pack was safe for the future. But, something the healer had said made Nakato gaze at her with a look of trust and sheer loyalty. “I feel it is more than love for the land that the Monster fought so hard against the white one. She may be a bit rough around the edges, but I feel she truly cares about the wolves who live here. As for Tobias…” she hesitates a moment, thinking of the dark lord. Truth be told, he frightened her but she was still loyal to him as her king. “He is also true to his subjects.” And that was all she could say about him. When the jolt of her children made her yelp, she saw the other wolves eyes light up in understanding and when she spoke, Nakato gave a somber sigh. “Please, do not tell anyone I am to be a mother. I have not told the Monster yet and… well it’s a long story. Do not worry, Zeltzin, you are not a bother. How could you have known I was pregnant? I hope you will stay a little longer. I do enjoy your company.” It was true. The expecting mother had grown fond of the forest healer and she could see that the younger girl was also a mother. There was a look in her eyes that gave it away and she gave a small smile. Her ears pricked forward when Zeltzin mentioned auras after Nakato had said it and for a moment, the grey girl was confused. But, she soon understood and gave a pleasant smile. “It is a rare skill I learned to use when I was a child. The ability to see the colors of one’s soul. It helps me better understand the wolves I meet. Would you like to learn how to see them? It is hard, but not impossible.” |
