After being accepted by Lucaya and Lucifer, Katniss had been wandering, exploring the forest and everything in it. She had chosen a den in the forest, It was high up so that all the water that had melted from the snow in the winter could not flood the den.
She was in her den, sleeping when the nightmare came, the one of Peeta being hijacked by the capitol again and again until no sliver of humanity was left in him...
She awoke with a start, creeping to the edge of her den and realizing how much time she had been asleep, it was night and the moon was at its fullest, she came out of her den and went down to the clearing where she had first seen Lucifer and Lucaya, nobody was there and she was glad. She sighed and lay down, not going to sleep, wanting those nightmares to go away, what had happened to Peeta? She had only seen him once before... before the capitol took her and made her into the wolf that she was. Audits perked up at the sounds around her, the crickets were singing their songs, there was yet to be any sign of her two lovers in this place.
