Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

are the dead really silent?

The strangest of feelings ebbed and flowed over me. I could feel a heart racing, though not in fear. I knew I was calm, but could not separate the excitement I was feeling. It was as though something or someone else was sharing my body, sharing my feelings toward the world. I could feel that it was Psyche, and it brought me a deep sense of content joy that she felt the things she did, and that I could feel them. My head rests on my paws as I am happy to just look at her, and assure her of my peace towards her.

“I would never be cruel towards you.” I promise half to myself and whole towards her. “It would be a deed against nature.” It would have destroyed me to hurt her, it would have pained me to defy her. My life was before her’s.

A smile became fixed on my lips. Her excitement permeated through her and washed itself over me. Though my daughter’s mother was gone, those who had started to gather around her I felt could surely fill the void. There would be nothing that could stop me from ensuring Psyche was a part of Solstice’s life. Zeltzin and Shiloh I hoped would agree. Asteraia... …The Monster…. My eyes snapped open and my fangs bared. Beside me, Solstice whimpered at the sudden change. No. The first to offer called me demon, the second called me kind. Those of lives dead whispered and howled along the plains when I walked the paths. I look between Pyche and Solstice, a fear sinking into my heart. “You are the second to refer me to your Monster. Perhaps it is fate that calls me to your door.” I rise to my feet and nudge my daughter to her’s. “Her caretakers would not permit her to leave the forests.” I will not permit her to enter the plains. I grasp at the right words to voice my desire, a strange concern that she will fear my words. It was only her opinion that mattered. This had never happened before. “I would like… to meet this Monster you speak of.” Monsters inspire fear. I am hard to scare.
