Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

i dont want to change your mind, i dont want to make you love me

The sudden woosh caught the attention of the white male. His head turned sharply, fire eyes narrowing at the leaves that were sparse on the ground, watching the leaves pick up and swirl in the mid-summer windstorm that was happening in the black of night. He sighed, a gruff, harsh sound breaking from his soft maw. Berwyn was not a mean man, no, but since him and his siblings and mother were without a home, he had become a bit more, possessive than he had before. The den that his family slept in was a few yards behind him, tucked hidden against a large oak tree. His brother Caderyn slept with one eye open in the entrance of the den. Berwyn was on the night shift. He didn’t want to leave the spot he was at, but there was something that was pulling him further away. He let out a small bark to Cade, letting him know he was on the move. He didn’t wait to hear back.

Luna hung high above his head. Accompanied by the millions of twinkling lights, he used their directionality to guide him on his way. He walked towards the edge of the woodlands, finding the small path that lead towards the thickest part of the woodlands, the swamp. It was strange that he was drawn here most days, the obnoxious smells of the swamp usually got to him, but it didn’t bother him too much at nights. The less wind, less wolves dragging the smell about. He stood on the edge of the grassy moss, watching the lights of the moon reflect on the eyes of the alligators that swam in the swamp. The croaking of the toads made him laugh, listening to them make the most obnoxious sound back and forth between the animals.

He stood there. Stark white against the dark of the night. The fireflies flew around lighting the area up around him as he stood there. He didn’t know what it was, but he liked the quite of the night.
