One day, one of this will matter...
A lonesome figurine swept across the land, her petite figure slipping in and out of sight. The little bird had been on the run since the departure of her dearly beloved Lucifer, but do not mistake her word choice for love. No, that was not the case. Rather, these ‘affections’ were borderline idolatry. The brindled devil was the one wolf she had allowed herself to remotely feel for, save her herself. Azriel was a tad bit selfish after all. The lithe shadow had fled soon after Lucifer’s failed rebellion. She wouldn’t be the sad sucker that would come under the wrath of the standing empire. She would persevere. She would continue with the mission she had been commissioned to. She would forever remain in search of the power that she so desired. The feeling of power that only Lucifer could give her, but don’t mistake her for codependent. This little angel could hold her own on any given day, no matter the circumstance, no matter the adversary.
Little birds had been whispering in her ears that the brindled devil she served had finally founded his Kingdom. He had arrived in Blossom Forest over a season ago, but Azriel had not gotten word of this for some months after his arrival. The white shadow had been in and around Blossom Forest but had never settled nor lain any traces of her arrival. She stayed on the outskirts of the haven watching and waiting for any signs. And she had finally received the signal she was looking for. Lucifer had settled in, and in Malignant Felicity no less. The name was an irony, meaning diseased bliss; a rather fitting title for the home of their King. Azriel flitted into the wooded arena that surrounded Malignant, her nares scenting for others who had fled and followed Lucifer. A gentle breeze ruffled her cape, but their scents enveloped her. Hael and Remnant. They were Seconds and blood relatives of Lucifer. She was not surprised by their early arrival. She turned toward their scents and slowed to a leisurely trot, there was no hurry now.
The duo was standing at the border patiently, their howl had alerted the light shadow to their precise location. Her lithe stature slithered through the foliage, silent. The two were higher than her and so she had to respect their word, but she felt nothing towards either of them. She slowed to a halt just slightly behind the pair. Azriel sat and her tail curled around her paws, her façade was cold and emotionless. Should either of the siblings turn their attention to her, she would dip her crown slightly, a sort of acknowledgement.
