If it is old faces the old male had hoped to see then it is surely one of the oldest in Spirane that is given to find him this day, the short, stocky, golden form of Pan hurrying along the borders in response. It is a voice he knows, of that he is sure and yet one he has not heard in so very long that his mind has almost forgotten it- almost, because the mind of Pan very rarely forgets anything he has deemed worthy of remembering. For a few moments the gleaming golden male of copper and tan allows those strange dark eyes to rest upon the dark coloured male at the border line, features narrowed in an effort to allow his mind to run through the significant information it stores until it settles upon a name. Yojimbo. He knows this wolf, he is assured of it, one whom had once ranked highly in Diveen- the place he had once met such a creature and one Pan had always held some ready sense of fascination in. Yojimbo had aged, to be sure and yet Pan himself was greyed around his muzzle- though he holds no true issue with this. Age, after all, was natures proof of success. So few lived to be aged and as such he is assured only the most exceptional of specimens should live to reach an advanced age and as such it is a badge of pride. His mind is convinced of it.

“Yojimbo?”

His voice holds question all the same as he starts forward once more, heading rapidly towards the other wolf now, paws stepping neatly and smoothly over the uneven ground and rocky surface with expert ease of so long spent living upon the mountain. Closer inspection confirms his hypothesis, that this is ineed the wolf he had met in Diveen and yet whether Yojimbo remembers himself he does not know- they had disagreed on several matters after all and Pan is assured on that basis alone he should be remembered. Pan, after all, is assured of many things.

“It has been an exceptional number of years since I have last seen you. You resided within Diveen then, as an advisor to Isola. You remember myself I am sure.”

He simply nods, as if there can be no question on such a matter, moving to seat his powerful form abruptly on the border line and before the other male, his form relaxed, content, offering no hostility for truly he sees no need. A fellow advisor is surely welcome.

“Have you been abroad on a journey of scientific merit?”

Why else would anyone go on a journey? There is no other reason, of that Pan is sure, one eye lifting slightly in expectation, utterly oblivious to the males injury, such things are not his skill- after all, he merely continues to look upon Yojimbo with great expectation of information to be exchanged.

“I assume you have placed yourself upon the borders of Spirane because you desire entrance, else you bring word of some important matter. Which is it then?”

He always was blunt. Age, it seemed, did not change all things.
