During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The wisps of fears the shrouded his conscious were visible. There was no reason for him to hide such things, and from the looks of it he could have at least taken a shot at a fight should they think it necessary to attack. Though the better half of the bastards conscious was starting to return, their pelts are covered in blood! Why in the hell would they attack? A soft sigh escaped his lips, the battle of his conscious’s was starting to show through, but he persevered. He needed to know that, like many moons before, he could pull himself together. He could retain his sanity, he could remain strong and he could still hold his own. The vengeful rage that Akuji had berated upon the tortured soul had torn away at the walls of his carefully constructed memoir. The cracks had been pasted over. They had been fixed even if it had only been superficially. The lad still had trouble recalling the torture and life he had previously lead, fragments and shadows had escaped over the years, but in all of it he retained a sort of guilt. Survivors guilt, if one could call it that. He had repressed the majority of his life, the memories vague and haunting, surfacing only in times of tension and attack. The stench of blood and mass of scarring tapestry across the smoky brute had picked away a little more of his practiced façade. Control was beginning to go awry.

And it was before either countenance could take action and explain their situation that a snowy lady appeared behind the kalak. His crown turned to face her, his mismatched globes focusing on her eyes. No violets to show, this lady was not his Ameira but there was no time to question her. His vision returned to the newcomers, his stoic façade breaking to let through a small tilted smile, though this to would go awry as the ess attempted to introduce herself, I'm Artemis, sister of Ameira although not blood related. I'm unranked, but I figured why not stop by to say hi? I don't really know anyone here so . . . Horizon might have rolled his eyes had his mood been higher and his attention solely focused on her. Maybe there would have been a teasing joke, a laugh to accompany maybe the mood would have been lighter, but alas this was not the case and the bastard remained quiet allowing the suitors to explain themselves. He returned the light greeting quickly and jumped into the reason of their arrival. My name is Summer, and this is my niece, adopted daughter really, Nzingha. We come from Bright Moon, as the pack lands were no longer safe to live in. I used to rule there, but knew it was better for myself and the other wolves within the pack to find a safe home to live in. Which is what has brought us here today. The name had triggered nothing of stature to the maned wolf, his knowledge of rulers and their packs was limited solely to those which he had looked into joining. But what struck the lad was that their lands had fallen into despair, they had become inhabitable. It was then that the bastard put two and two together. Bright Moon had been the site of the bear infestation.

He had scented the bears upon their arrival near Bright Moon, the terra itself was not so far from Munashii Gekko. This had frightened the bastard but over time their scents had dispersed and lead deeper into the pack, everything had gone frighteningly quiet and now Horizon knew why. The ex-Alpha himself, had come to their pack requesting a new haven to which they could form and live out their lives. And these two were not the last to show. A shadowy wisp of a wolf came breaking through the brush, his breath labored. And as Horizon took stock of this newcomer he gasped slightly. Not for the ice lanterns, to which the likes of a cat would have, but rather the gauntness and protruding bones. His pelt a tattered mess of what he could take guesses at. Danger, I’m with them. Horizon dipped his head, Horizon— but his voice was cut short by the sudden explosion of profanity and anguish over the ghostly comrade.... What in the fucking Fenris have you done to yourself you dolt! The little shadow, that in comparison made the brute look like the starved pup, began to roughly pull clumps of anything and everything for Danger’s pelt. Horizon watched calmly, his gaze flickering every once and a while to Summer. What would the es-Alpha’s reaction be? He could only guess until he saw for himself, but the show was far from over. A new string of words began to pour forth from the girl. Each word blended into the one before it, You just had to go and up and disappear and be all Mr. Big Shot all ‘Oh look at me I’m Mr. Independent I can live on my own I don’t need no one’ and then you come back looking… The nerve of you! Here we are trying to join this perfectly nice pack, trying to find a new home but OH NO you have to show up like this all embarrassing like. What were you thinking? Well now I’m just always going to worry about you if you leave so we have to hang out more, mmkay? Horizon paused awaiting a similar slur of speech again, but instead he was greeted with a pup-like girl only wanting to explore.

Horizon couldn’t help the hearty chuckle that escaped his maw. He was glad to see that even in times of trial that they still had a capacity to care for each other. It was for this reason that Horizon saw them as a fitting piece among their family. You must excuse my laughter, but it gladdens me to see a family that remains capable of caring about each other. I welcome you all to Munashii Gekko and hope that you will allow yourselves to become a part of our little family. Horizon smiled fully now, his body shifted to the side allowing the trio access to the borders and beyond. Prey has filled our borders once again and life is starting to fill out the pack once again, with all thanks to our Lady Ameira. I will offer myself to give a tour of the packlands, should any of you wish to stay with me. Horizon’s mismatched gaze flicked to the little lady, he little tease aimed at her. He wouldn’t hold any qualms should she wish to wonder and roam around herself. Summer and Danger included, though he assumed Nzingha would not be losing sight of Danger any time soon.
