Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Viserys
four - iblis x rhae - diveen
Viserys listened to her intently, somewhat surprised at the passion in her voice. He liked listening to her speak, she was sharp and quick and even witty at times. He just liked being around her, too, it made him feel whole in a way. It was interesting because he had heard of what imprints were to each other, the feeling of being whole. But they certainly weren't imprints and the wolf found himself having the same kinds of feelings. Her words struck a chord within him and he blinked, picturing a scene in which a scenario like that would happen. Attack another wolf? He had thought he would never, but... Looking at Ankh he realized that he would do absolutely anything she asked of him. Anything to protect her. Although he was not very strong, he would give his life if it meant keeping her safe from harm.

The sudden rush of thoughts made him swallow and to cover up his burning cheeks he gave her a smile. "That's a very astute statement, Ankh. I think you may be right. It's easy to say that all lives have value until that value is put to the test. I can assure you that I wouldn't stand aside if you were being attacked by a savage. I would put aside my personal beliefs to protect you." Viserys said, his voice calm but his heart racing. What he had said was true, but it was surprising to him. Surprising that he would put aside philosophy and thought to engage in a fight to protect something he cared for. Perhaps it was more than just caring for, in the end.

She seemed confused at the change of topic and it was rather justified, but there were some things that Viserys needed to get off of his chest, even if they were in an abstract way. He paused in his step, looking at her curiously as her eyes seemed to widen as if she had realized something. Viserys had realized something, too. Perhaps they were not imprints or even mates but he knew that he cared for Ankh fiercely, he knew that he felt comforted by her presence. He knew that he would be distraught if she were to leave Moladion or even Diveen. He liked being close to her, it made him feel grounded. It made him feel like everything would be okay, like all the things that had happened to him were in the past and would stay there.

"I think you are right, too." Viserys said finally as they continued to walk. "It is too hard for us to comprehend eternity, I think... but I'd like to believe that my parents are up in the sky somewhere, still together, as they will be for the rest of time." He hesitated slightly, glancing at her once more. Before he lost his rhythm he needed to open his mouth once more and speak what was truly on his mind. "I care for you quite a lot, Ankh." He blurted out quite suddenly, as if the words had been threatening to spill over his teeth on their own accord. "Forgive me for being so bold but I... I think we have a very special bond. And I wouldn't trade that for anything, because you mean so much to me." His cheeks flushed beneath his fur and he ducked his head, looking at her from the corner of his eye.
