Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

got a hole in my soul,
growing deeper and deeper,
Eloah had heard the rush of paws several moments before the dark form had burst into the clearing; she hadn't expected a child and so, her first response had merely been to lift both brows in idle surprise. Though she had quickly assumed the child was younger than she, she had just as quickly observed the child's obvious bulk. By no means was her newest company a frail, weak whelp and yet, Eloah still remained surprised that a wolf so young had so readily answered her call. After all, it had not exactly been a call of play or fun. Nonetheless, her eyes watched the girl closely, her head tilted slightly as the dark girl came to stand below her.

She dangled her paw, twitching it like some hanging toy as the girl spoke; long words, a slow drawl that made Eloah's ear twitch in mild interest. It seemed many wolves had their own eccentricities with speech and yet, it had been the first time she had heard a wolf speak in such a manner. Even Lonhro had been more articulate despite his slow speech. That thought had made a brow twitch once more as she eyed the girl down with a shrug, content after a moment to finally answer the girl's - what Eloah assumed to be - question.

"I did," she stated with a stout nod, "though I had expected my brother to come to me. It's how I call for him, after all." She shrugged the words off before she lowered her head onto her stretched out legs. It better allowed her to watch down at the child, her paw still dangling as if to entice the child. In such a position, she had finally been able to better receive the girl's scent and so, she fast realized the child had come from the plains to the north. Asteraia, it seemed, which was an oddity in itself; had Eloah been followed? She grinned to herself in amusement, entertained by the idea that perhaps Lonhro had sent somebody to follow her lest she be up to mischief. It hardly seemed smart to send a mere child though and so, she dismissed the idea and returned her attention to the girl.

"Asteraia, right?" She queried with a sniff, her tail giving a few idle thumps behind her to assure the girl of her goodwill. After all, she likely still retained some of the border's scent herself for she had been there quite recently.
