Bohemian Waxwings

. by Ken MacDonald, on Flickr
A flock of 50+ Bohemian Waxwings visited my neck of the woods on Woodland Dr. in Midland on the afternoon of Mar. 1, 2016. There are a couple of Mountain Ash trees around that they were feeding on. Not great pictures I'm afraid. It was pretty cold for fooling with camera settings. But you can clearly see the rusty undertail coverts and grey bellies that distinguish the Bohemian Waxwings from the Cedar Waxwings with their whitish undertail coverts and yellowish bellies.
