I always hated him? I think it’s a little hard to always hate someone you don’t really know, my gaze narrowing slightly upon him as he begun to took of this deal I had broken, a deal I knew very little about. If I had been a part of one I certainly didn’t recall it, my own head tilted slightly as I regarded him still.

“What deal are you talking about?”

I didn’t see any reason not to ask him, he was hardly going anywhere, my attention turned to Amir amount, curious perhaps, to see if Amir understood what the male was walking about considering Amir had apparently broken this deal as well. Either I truly had violated some law I had failed to know I was a part of, else Zeus had lied so extensively to the fool in front of me that he seemed to believe everyone around him was in violation of something nobody truly knew about. I shook the thought away, for now, Guardian remaining silent as he continued to hold Attu down though I was assured my companion was listening all the same as I kept my paw atop the mushrooms that had so fixated his attention. Gods don’t eat mushrooms? I’m not surprised really, wolves didn’t eat mushrooms the last time I had checked, my tail flicking in momentary annoyance. Was this truly how Zeus gained all his followers, poisoning them? How many of these mushrooms could one eat before they died? I didn’t know, would they poison the body as they did the mind eventually? I would have to ask Mother or Uncle Hadrian perhaps, even Meryl. I turned my thoughts away from it once more, attempting to look more in control then I truly felt, to be more in charge then I felt I was ready for right now- though Guardian and Amir continued to look towards me, waiting, like I somehow held all the answers. I knew….I knew what I needed to do but some part of me still cowered at the thought.

Zeus would be sad he said, Zeus wouldn’t like it, my own red-backed ears falling back a moment, assured that I hardly cared at this stage whether Zeus liked anything I did. Maybe he didn’t know me, or my name- but he was going to. Maybe one day I would look back at this, at the events of this year as the ones that truly saw me change more then anything else, if only I had noticed it in myself earlier, perhaps- these things I was capable off. He almost pleads and for a moment I feel myself waver, this wolf this…Attu. He was no one and he was nothing. He was used like pawn in a game and little else. I saw it and I understood it……but maybe it is time Heyel’s words truly did return. Blood for blood, as they say and he had come here, this Attu, fully desiring Amir’s blood. If I let him go, what would stop him coming back? What would stop him targeting another wolf of the pack I called home? It is creatures like this I had formed my own assassins to fight . I simply hadn’t expected myself to hesitate when the moment calm, teeth biting down against each other, hardening myself for it as I forced myself to look impassive. My ploy clearly having worked, a relief of sorts flooding through me at this mention of where Emerald and Grandmother Zen were.

“Guardian, when we are done here, take someone and retrieve Emerald and Zen.”

I made no move to have Attu released just yet however, ears pricking forward once more as he spoke more about Zeus and this….conflict he seemed to have, not entirely with Angels perhaps but with…Amir and those close to him. Was it the family of Amir he so seemed to dislike and those close to him? Sulan and Voltaire had both been close to Amir, Zen was Sulan’s sister, Emerald related too, Ska also affected. In fact, the only ones of that family it seemed Zeus had missed were my own Mother Neveah, my siblings…..and me. Hmm- maybe this was a little more…personal then I had realised, my head nodded all the same at the words Attu offered. This was useful in the least. That Zeus planned to continue equally as useful information, Attu reminding me once more of the mushrooms at my paws as I pushed them towards him, nodding to Guardian to let him up.

“You can have them, like I promised, now get out of my sight.”

Guardian moved in the same moment to place himself in front of Amir once more, fearing perhaps, that Attu may attempt one final attack, my own fur bristling upward in warning as I waited for Attu to grab his mushrooms and leave, turning to Guardian and Amir only after he had.

“I will follow him and make sure he leaves the pack, Guardian you go and get Emerald and Zen like I said, Amir, well, I guess you better just stay here and rest.”

I offered the older male a grin all the same, ignoring the strange look Guardian offered towards me before I moved to follow after Attu. Maybe he was just a pawn…..but I……I couldn’t let him move against us again, not my family, not my pack. Zeus had control of him and I had every intention of ending that.
