Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Taika listened attentively to the story Hyrule told. Unlike her good friend in the mountains, she was not schooled in being able to hide the emotions that played across her face. Listening to death after death her usually dancing eyes began to harden and her teeth bared into a quiet snarl. She did not know the history or background of the wolves who had been killed, but if what Hyrule said was true, they had been slaughtered merely because they made a choice of where to live. They had found their homes and wanted to reside there. So they died there before their time. As a gypsy, the idea of a home was far more grand to her than it was to other pack wolves she had met. To a pack their home was their land and their family that had grown up there. To Taika, chosing a home and place to stay meant so much more. It would have had to call to her soul. Any who felt that calling to a place deserved to stay there, and live there in joy. Not to be destroyed simply because.

She watched the young wolf’s face, her heart breaking with the traces of emotion he could not hide from her. Her heart beat hard in her chest. Considering what he had said, she nodded her chocolate head to him. I will listen for these things. She promised softly. In return, I do not ask for much. Merely safety for myself and my people wherever you may be, so long as we promise not to cause trouble. Such a thing was, of course, a two way street. If any of the gypsies caused broke the rules of wherever they were, it was only fair they answer to their actions. I do not know who Zeus is, but I can tell you of any I hear who is attacking or hurting those who do not have a pack to call home.
