Gendry had grown much in his first year of life. It became apparent that the star touched boy would grow to be far larger than his mother; well sized, evened out from his father's bulk by his mother's dainty form. Each day he started to discover himself a little bit more, learn more about the world he lived in and what part he wanted to play. He had big paw prints to fill, becoming as great a warrior as his father, but he knew well that he could do it; the white wolf in his dreams also said he could. Solara had offered to take him under her wing, and he always had Guardian and quite literally any of his extended family to turn to. But his training had been cut short, forced, no forced was not the correct word, he had willingly followed after his mother to keep an eye on her, to make sure she stayed safe. She had been so panicked when Zues had been captured and brought to Diveen, at the time he didn't understand why but he came to realize that Zeus was the one who had attacked her, had left her with the nasty scar that adorned her hind leg. It filled the angle boy with rage and sadness to see the way his mother seemed so scared, how she went to hide away with her friends in Taviora, his relatives, but then never quite made it. Gendry held true to his calm demeanor and offered her peace in her panic, even now, long after they had returned due to Zues's escape.
He walked calmly beside his mother, keeping close to her side. Guardian and Hektor had already left to the call of the new queen, Solara. It was almost funny to him that his mentor would step up to be queen when Achilles so abruptly abdicated the throne, but like always, he remained quiet. It did not take them overly long to reach the spot that Solara had chosen to hold a meeting, his mother had always been quick despite her short stature and her son had inherited some of that speed. His eyes flickered around the second they arrived, looking at everyone and recognizing quite a few: his grandfather, his grandmother, his father, his brother, his uncle, Solara, and the a few he wasn't sure on. He dipped his head in greeting to those he did not know before getting to work on his formalities; his mother had made sure he knew his manners. He moved over to his grandparents while his mother said her greetings and moved to sit herself most comfortably beside his father. He started by affectionately rubbing his head into his grandmother Andromeda, whom he loved, before moving on to his grandfather and offering the more reserved and proper extension of his muzzle. When he was content with that he scurried on over to his brother, who he tackled quite playfully, his black banner waving in excitement. He let his brother up and then pushed his head into his father. Finally it was time to greet his new queen.
He moved quietly to stand before her, bowing his head. He couldn't stop his tail from wagging or the friendly smile that graced his lips.
