The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

A calm sense of comfort began to wash over the young wolf under Zeus’ touch. Her worry about his safety started to subside with his gentle assurances. Desire to help ease his pain still pulsed through her body with every heartbeat. She knew she could do it. The plants that would have eased his pain and made him rest were easy to identify. Even though she had learned of them on her own she had come to know of them well. They had been pleasing when she had pains in her paws, or when she could not sleep through the night when she had been alone. A soft whine came from her nose. If he asked her not to do anything more, she would stay put. It was up to him whether or not to accept the help of a pup and trust in her judgement and knowledge.

Her tail beat against the ground. “Are you going to rest so you can heal? Do you have a place to rest?” Ears flattened for a moment. If the bad wolves were pack wolves they would be able to find him in the common lands. The cave he had taken her to was not safe. “Can you come to Glorall? Maybe Eden will let you stay until you are better!”

A huge grin grew over her face at his words. Her heart pounded in her chest at the thought of watching the storms cuddled up in the comfort of his fur again. The storms, she thought, they would be able to make him better again! If anything in the world could it would be the lightning that flashed from the skies. More than plants and herbs, it would have been the power of the earth that could save this gentle good wolf. For the earth was loving.

“Yes! When can we find more storms? Do you know where to find any in the winter?”
