Welcome to the RAAF Airman Aircrew Association Message Board. It is for all to use whether airman aircrew or not, however the majority of us who frequent this message board are former or current RAAF aircrew, associates or enthusiasts who want to be 'in the know'. We must be certain, however, that we do not disclose any information which may compromise the security of the ADF or its personnel and we also must be certain not to criticise or to pass judgment on others. Bob flew Caribous with 38 Squadron in the late 1970s and then became a flying instructor. He left the RAAF in the mid-1980s to join CASA where he became an Examiner of Airmen and worked in the flying training and licensing branch.

Bob kept contact with the RAAF and did regular reserve service. When the RAAF introduced the balloon in the 1990s, Bob was one of the initial pilots and flew it extensively around the country.

Sadly, Bob battled cancer for over a decade and passed away in Canberra on 18 March. His funeral is scheduled for 10:30 Thursday 24th of March at the Crematorium in Canberra.
