36th Annual Worth/USSSA "Memorial" Tournament
IP: 76.243.37.193

One of the country's largest & longest running "memorial" tournaments, is also referred to as "Softball's Finest Moment."

The 36th Annual Worth/Ohio USSSA "Memorial" Tournament is played every Memorial Day weekend at multiple locations in S.W. Ohio.

This year's event is being held on 28-29 May, at Dayton's Kettering Field, Lebanon's Armco Park, Sidney's Flanagan Park, Springfield's Davey Moore Park, and Fairborn's Fairfield Park.

As always, the format for men’s play is 5 games of pool play on Saturday, which seeds teams into two separate divisions of double elimination play on Sunday.

This 7-game format is also one of the "Best Bargains in Softball," as the entry fee is just $325.

For Mixed Couples /Co-Ed teams, the format will depend upon the total number of entries but will give as many games as possible.

Softball's Finest Moments" come when we remember and honor those who have passed at multiple locations. This year's honorees include: Ralph "Flip" Lucas, Louie Stoll, and Larry Hall honored at 10am at Davey Moore in Springfield; Bob Stegemoller, Ernie Swords, and Gary Hube honored at noon at Armco Park in Lebanon; Steve Harrington, Evelyn Miller, and John Metzler at 1:30pm at Kettering Field in Dayton; and Brien Carey at 3pm at Flanagan Park in Sidney.

Site Directors for this event include: Don Keys at Armco Park, Donnie Brewer at Kettering Field, Aaron Boyer at Flanagan Park; Jared Newman and Steve Barrett at Springfield’s Davey Moore Park, and Shane Bistrek at Fairborn’s Fairfield Park.

Tournament packets are now available via e-mail to: dayton_softball@hotmail.com.

Teams may also enter at the park of their choice or on-line at www.USSSA.com.

As this event is always full, entering early is the best way to get the park of your choice for Saturday's round-robin portion.
