She was free! No one was there to stop her from leaving the swamps. Really, no one was there to stop her any of the other days that she left, but still! She enjoyed the freedom, but knew full well to be careful and to keep an green-blue eye out. She did not go far on this day upon white paws. The young pup of white and black decided to explore the crags close to her swampy home.

She seemed to glow with life as she snuck out, tail wagging slightly behind her as she leaped over a patch of grass onto a flat stone. She felt herself slip slightly, and her growing legs adjusted...awkwardly, but adjusted regardless. She grins at her own little success, chest puffing slightly as she raised her dark head, white mo-hawk like fur standing on edge as she carefully look out into the world. She saw...no one right now, just grass and rock ahead of her. Her head turned quickly as she saw movement to her left...but nothing. Or was it something? Her ears stood tall atop her head as she stared, hoping to catch a glimpse of something to chase. She wiggled her butt in the air as she jumped off the rock- a full half a foot down onto dirt. Her tongue dangled from her mouth for a moment as her legs propelled her forward a bit. The day was not done yet- but it was starting to wrap up a bit. She did not care as she climber her way onto another not too large rock, curiosity filling her eyes.

It was then that the quiet air was cut with that of a howl. It caused her head to tilt as she absorbed the sound. It was not a howl like an adult in her pack. In fact, it was a younger howl- like her own would be! Maybe that means...it was another pup that would want to play! She could not control her red-tipped tail from wagging. She reared to where her front paws lifted from the stone, and her muzzle lifted to the air. She responded with her own howl, short and sweet, before she rushed off to the direction of where the howl originated.

It is a bit of a journey, maybe 5 minutes or so, with having to climb or go around rocks and stone in the way. Once she does get closer, her eyes of green ringed in the middle with blue looked around, searching more and more, until she comes around rock blocking her view to see another young pup- her age! She was excited, having never met anyone outside of her pack her age before. She was not...positive that this one was the one that called, but she was pretty sure!

"Hey!" she yipped before trotting a bit closer. "Hey, did ya howl? Did ya hear me howl back?" she said muzzle reaching out to sniff despite being a good 10 feet or so away. "You had a pretty cool voice, did you like my voice too?" she asked, not willing to go closer to the other pup until she could get a good read on the other pup's body language.
