Tithe

As was becoming usual, a glow shined from Tithe’s solid eyes when he found a member of the mountain pack. Gaia’s red form approached him and bowed to him with respect. It was still odd to the chivalrous man to have the tables turned and the respect given to him. Habitually and willingly he turned it back to her, with a low bow of his own head. No other was truly under him, he felt, and each had their place above him in their own way. Gaia, he hoped, would find her home here comfortably and continue what she had wanted to do under the reign of Roman.

Good day to you, Lady Gaia. Please, just call me Tithe. His words were in direct opposition to his own practice. He knew his words were in direct opposition to his own personal practice. He had the crown, he had the name, the rank and the mantle. But he did not wear it with his packmates. At least not until his practice had truly earned it. Even then he did not think he would be able to fully shed the weight of his duty to the point where he could hold himself higher.

Relaxed, he looked up at her, head tilted slightly to invite her to relax and have a conversation with him. His large bulk tended to tower over those around him. It had always been his preference to speak to others and look up at them instead of down.I was hoping; if you chose to stay in the mountains, if you would continue to work for that position. His tail beat once on the ground behind him while his eyes watched her features. There was a gentle hope that settled on him. Hope that she would take this chance. If not, hope that she would find happiness in whatever she chose.
