Proposed Non-Sanctioned Rules - 2016 Season

Hi Everyone. I realize the controversy has been very obvious with the Facebook post, and I have put together a rule proposal for the OTTPA Executive to consider or build off for the 2016 Season. Please help build off these rules and provide feedback. I'm sure some resolution can be made to keep everyone pulling with the OTTPA.

Non-Sanctioned Gas:
1.) Trucks are competing for Prize Money only. Fair Boards reserve the right to determine the Prize Money for the event.
2.) Class weight with be 6500#.
3.) All vehicles must be licensed and insured for the road. Any vehicle deemed unsafe by the track official will be disqualified. All Non-Sanctioned vehicles must enter the pull under there own power. Proof of Insurance and License will be required for registration.
4.) Maximum Hitch Height will be 22" to the highest point of the hitching device. Reese Style hitches only.
5.)Truck suspension must have a minimum of 1/2" of vertical travel. Suspension Stops may be used. Suspension Travel will be measured by the track official standing on hitching device and observing an obvious amount of travel before stopping.
6.)All additional weight will be securely mounted in the box of the pickup. No weights will be present anywhere else in the vehicle.
7.1) Trucks with OEM Engine Blocks, OEM Heads, OEM Intake Manifolds and OEM Exhaust Manifolds must run Rear U-Joint Shields and 1 Driveshaft Loop. A Single Programmer (EFI), Exhaust and Cold Air Intake System are Permitted. Any truck suspected of Internal Engine Modifications or Additional Engine Work will be asked to follow the rules of 7.2 or be disqualified.
7.2) Trucks with Engine Swaps, Aftermarket Cylinder Heads, Aftermarket Intake Manifolds, Aftermarket Exhaust Manifolds (Or Any Combination) will be required to run Front and Rear U-Joint Shields (4 Shields), 2 Driveshaft Loops, a Functioning Kill Switch and a Fire Extinguisher in the Cab.
9.) All trucks must be Naturally Aspirated unless Factory Equipped. Factory Equipped Forced Induction trucks will be required to follow the safety rules as per 7.2. Factory OEM Forced Induction (Whether Turbocharged or Supercharged) will be OEM Original and have no modifications made to the system.
10.) Pump Gas will be the only acceptable fuel. Any Alcohol, Nitrous, Water, Methanol, Propane or other substance may not be injected at any point, either through the fuel or intake system. Pullers found with these substances will be asked to not return to the OTTPA for the remainder of the season, and a second offence will warrant permanent disqualification from any OTTPA event.
11.)All exhaust must exit behind the cab and through functioning mufflers.
12.)All U-Joint Shields and Driveshaft Loops will be fabricated from 3/16" Steel or 1/4" Aluminum and are to be fastened securely to the pulling vehicle.
13.)Tires must be DOT Approved and appear to be in Road Worthy condition
14.)Track Officials have the discretion to determine if they believe a vehicle is incorrectly disclosing there modifications and may ask any puller to follow Rule 7.2. Track officials decisions are final and any inquires will be made after the pull is completed.

A Single Programmer, Exhaust, Single Lift Pump and Cold Air Intake System are Permitted. Any truck suspected of Additional Engine, Fuel or Turbocharger Modifications will be asked to follow the rules of 7.2 or will be disqualified
7.2) Trucks with Engine Swaps, Aftermarket Turbochargers, Aftermarket Intake Manifolds, Aftermarket Exhaust Manifolds, Aftermarket Fuel Systems or (Or Any Combination) will be required to run Front and Rear U-Joint Shields (4 Shields), 2 Driveshaft Loops, a Functioning Kill Switch (Intake Guillotine), a Fire Extinguisher in the Cab and have a vertically exiting exhaust. A 90 Degree bend on the end of tailpipe will be considered sufficient.
9.) Pump Diesel will be the only acceptable fuel. Any Alcohol, Nitrous, Water, Methanol, Propane or other substance may not be injected at any point, either through the fuel or intake system. Pullers found with these substances will be asked to not return to the OTTPA for the remainder of the season, and a second offence will warrant permanent disqualification from any OTTPA event.
