as he waited, zachariah felt a stir of impatience. it had been a long while since he had seen his comrades and he had missed them quite a bit, not that he’d ever tell them that. the man was eager to see what changes had occurred within the rest of lucifer’s army, and more specifically, if any new drama had been stirred up since arriving in the new land. he could vividly recall the tensions between elijah and azriel - his bet was that it was simply masking feelings neither wanted to admit to, but he would keep that thought to himself lest he end up on the receiving end of azriel’s eager teeth. his thoughts were also with the trio of siblings at the heart of the army: lucifer, hael, and remnant. while zachariah doubted that anything, or anyone for that matter, had come to be of interest in the stoic remnant’s life, lucifer and hael were far more subject to the matter of feelings than their brother. zachariah would be quite interested in seeing what or who had caught the siblings’ attention.
just as he was setting those thoughts aside, a woman approached the border. to his curiosity, the woman’s grey eyes settled a bit to the left of him, and he stored that information to look into later. her tone was calm, if not a bit of a bored drawl, when she spoke. ”Hello, is there a reason you’re here?” with a hum, zachariah nodded. ”i should say so. i am zachariah, of lucifer’s army. i’ve come with information to share with him - and, of course, to take position within his ranks once again.”
