The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

His large paws brushed over the rough forest landscape, his muscular body moving quickly over the area. He just wanted to belong, that's it. Ryka had grown up to be a strong leader but honestly was more gentle than most would think. This wouldn't stop him from fighting if he had too, but it was something. Ryka was a calm and kind guy, his looks deciving his personality. He'd grown up in a family of four, two brothers and a sister, along with his mother and father. All were dead now, due to a disease that had rushed through the family when they were younger. He was the lone survivor and still on his own. That's one of the main reasons he wanted to just belong to a pack. Become part of a large family. Maybe meet someone. It didn't matter. He just wanted to belong.

The brute's emerald coloured gaze was locked on the area ahead of him, wanting to get to the pack boarder. Ryka's bodice finally halted when he came to it, his breathing slowing. Safety was one way to describe how he felt at the moment. Now the question is how to get in, he thought as his nares breathed in the scents. An irony smell hit his notrils as he looked down at the boarder. This however didn't bother him. He knew Abendrot was built for soliders. He was up for the job to get in.

Slowly he raised his muzzel to the sky and let out a call, letting someone know that he was here to possibly join. That's all he wanted. He lowered himself onto the ground, his plummage wrapping around the large front paws he had. Ryka's night black pelt was smoothed down but his chest had a fluffy texture. Annoyed by this, he shrugged and looked around, waiting for someone to answer his call.

You see, he knew of Abendrot being dark and full of warriors. He wanted to be able to call himself one. The muscular figure he had was strong and his mind was set on joining here.
