Eleanor lounged outside of the den that she had been sharing with Despoina for the season. It was comfortable to have another to share heat on the cold winter nights, and although they tussled nearly daily she had enjoyed the company of the woman. She had enjoyed other things, naturally, it being winter, but nothing had come of it- or so she had thought. Eleanor had noticed a change in Despoina, she had been moodier than normal, and had put on a little bit of weight. And her scent had changed. It was warmer, softer, than it had been before, and the slate woman could only guess what this changes must mean but she refused to accept it.

Her tail flicked against the ground and she yawned, running her tongue along her sharp fangs that had connected many times with her lover's skin and fur. She waited, unsure of where to go or what to do without Despoina by her side. Eleanor was a stranger in these lands, after all, an intruder simply living amongst the moors without acceptance or knowledge. It was a bit exciting, she had to admit, the thrill of needing to keep herself and their relationship a secret. She knew that Despoina was risking her home and her position within it for her, and the thought was both endearing and flattering.

Vibrant eyes looked up in surprise as the snarling, vicious form of the woman who had stolen her heart came crashing through the moor shrub towards her. Eleanor scrambled to her feet, ears back, wearing a wary expression. Her hackles rose slightly and she lifted her lips up in a snarl at the 'greeting' that Despoina gave her. "That's no way to greet your-" She was cut off by the woman's next words, the tones causing her to stiffen. It was incredibly rare that the wolf she had come to love would sound so... scared.

"I was wondering when you'd figure it out." Eleanor said dryly, lifting a paw as if to step towards Despoina, then, reconsidering, set it back down. Now was not time time for a gentle caress. "I thought you would have... well, you know, known of the consequences of what we have been doing..." She said with a pointed stare. Nothing good came without a price. She found her eyes wandering to Despoina's side, where inside the pups would be growing even now as they spoke. Her gaze returned to the other's eyes, as she waited, a bit hesitantly, for what she would have to say.
