You can't break me

Thick, delicate hairs stand on end against Hurricane's hardened flesh. Muscles tensed under the pressure of the situation of havoc which surrounded the knight. Hurricane's pelt weighed heavily upon his own chiseled form, blood staining obsidian fur, melding into the mud which soaked his legs and paws, creating a dark, murky mixture that clung desperately to the gladiator, bathing him right down to the skin. The midnight warrior had known naught what he ought to expect when he finally tracked down his fractured princess, her location obscure, as if hiding from the demon. If that was what this tender young bird were doing, if Losa had fled his presence in terror once more, the wicked dragon could not blame her. Something dark lurked beneath sharp edges and lightning portals. Something wicked, something not to be trusted.

Perhaps however Losa had merely fallen victim to her own fractured mind. Terrorized memories lurked between mismatched portals of violet and cerulean. Clear as crystal, yet tormented by the darkest of creatures. Something even more wicked than Hurricane himself had serrated Losa's memories, and every time the young lass attempted to pick them up, it seemed that the edges only gouged deeper wounds within her soul and Hurricane worried if this continued her very spirit would become so damaged he could not retrieve it.

This problem, of course led Hurricane back to the same question that this wicked monster had been asking since those startling portals stopped him in his tracks the day upon the lake. Why did he care? Hurricane was a beast of wrath and anger, built to destroy, built to cause harm and ruin. And that is what this vicious warrior did. Hurricane built a war path around himself and ripped apart any which dared enter the cyclone of his life, pushing away and shredding any soul which dared come close. That of course was how he'd ended up soaked in the blood of another pretty femme. Losa was different. Losa created within Hurricane a need to protect, a need to provide, and the vicious dragon had failed in both endeavors that day for when Hurricane finally located Losa, it was to find the porcelain marionette soaked in her own blood and cowering in the ivory pelt of another.

Lightning portals survey carefully the sight of turmoil and distress. Wolves scattered and scrambled, attempting desperately to fix the badly damaged duo. Just as Hurricane managed to rasp out Losa's name upon his lips, another cut him off, a loud snarl filling the air as a soot painted falcon entered the area, appearing between trees, hackles raised and fangs bared. Had Hurricane had anything but Losa upon his mind the obsidian monster would have laughed, for this one ashen queen was no match for the power and anger which lay in wait beneath liquid muscles, tucked away and hidden in the depths of midnight fur. And then, the monarch spoke, warning the knight, and his jaw drops. "I only mean to protect her, ma'am, and it appears I have failed"

Perhaps had this thunderstorm lady come to him on unclaimed grounds and spoke those same treacherous words, Hurricane would have launched, snarling and biting at her slender bodice and taught her exactly what one of his victims appeared to be. However, Hurricane knew, should he challenge this woman upon her own land, it would not just be the queen whom would attack, but the entire pack. And so Hurricane remained aloof, however respectful, his gaze shifting back toward his earthen painted princess, anxiety filling his breast as the knight wondered if she would ever awaken.

Another vixen entered the picture, her pelt pure as clean snow. If Hurricane's pelt were so dark it appeared to swallow the sun, than this ess was the sun herself. Pristine hairs rising as she skirts around the stand off between Hurricane's own tensed physique, and the outright hostile alphaess whom stood before him, untrusting, and unwilling to let him any further, unwilling to let him near Losa.

Suddenly, a strangled noise shattered the tense silence, echoing off the trees and dispersing in the air. Panic filled Hurricane's optics as they searched to find Losa's earthen painted bodice, and suddenly, there she was. Lurching forward awkwardly as a newborn fawn, she moved toward him, tearing open freshly clotted wounds, and the knight whimpered softly, struggling between rushing forward to meet the girl, and remaining in his place so as to not upset the tsunami queen. Seconds ticked by in what felt like an eternity, and suddenly, there she was. Her fragile physique pressed into his own sticky crimson stained one as words, hissed and dry struggle to escape his lips. The dark warrior attempts to quiet her to no avail, and while most days this wicked creature would have silenced her with a growl, Hurricane felt only relief surging through his icy veins at the gentle cadence of her voice.

Losa stiffened suddenly, as she realized exactly what the sticky substance coating his bodice was, and for a moment Hurricane panicked, perhaps, yes perhaps his princess' mind was so fractured that the young queen thought it was Hurricane whom inflicted those wounds upon her. However in her very next breath the young ess blamed herself, and Hurricane felt his heart fracture. Turning to press his cold nose into the nape of her neck, Hurricane breathed in the calming perfume of her pelt, and for a moment, a single moment in time, the wolves around them vanished and it was only Hurricane and Losa in these woods. Only Hurricane and Losa in the whole of Blossom's borders.

Suddenly, the trance broke with Losa's lyrics, and she vanished from beneath his touch, leaving Hurricane feeling abandon and unwanted, and the gladiator pushed the feelings away, stuffing them down deep within his stomach. There they would fester until one day when the knight would snap. For now however, those traitorous feelings went into a box and the would be king could only murmur a gentle "of course" they lyrics dissipating into the wind, hardly even spoken before they vanished, and lightning portals watch her damaged physique in agony. "Losa." The knight starts slowly, choking out his words slowly, forcing each one from his throat as if in agony at having to speak them.

"Do you want me to leave?"
