The words sent a shock to her heart- and for a minute it was like everything was moving in slow motion. She did not reply, she couldn't, but the look that she gave him was enough. Heart thudding in her chest as he explained that he was no wolf to be anchored down, but she had already known that. Perhaps even since the day they had met she knew he was no ordinary male,
no well-groomed and castrated mate- and yet she found no resentment in his explanation, she had no expectations of him and whatever they were about to be doing. She would not work to tie him down and break his free spirit. As he loved her for everything that she was, she loved him for everything that
he was.
"I know." She stated simply, head at a slight tilt.
"I wouldn't expect that from you. I never have." She thought that maybe she had loved him for a long time, since perhaps the day that the first met, but it was a strange love. Not romantic by most's standards, but it was a love all the same. A desire to be close, perhaps, and to revel in that closeness. But she had no expectations of a perfect life with a den and pups and a mate to catch her food- because that is not what she desires, the same as him.
Morrigan smiled as she felt his teeth on her skin, but it quickly turns into a devilish grin at his words.
"If you want me, you're going to have to." And with a wild giggle, she was off, running and leaping and dancing, the snow spinning circles in the air.
