The friendly wag of Isolde’s tail does not go unnoticed. The Monster saw it and did not copy such a movement with her own tail. There was no need to do such a thing. Dark sapphire eyes remained glued upon the visitor that stood at her border curious as to why she was here in the first place. As she got closer she noticed how the red she-wolf began to take a few steps back. As her tail began to lower and tuck low the Monster instinctively raised her dial upwards feeding off the fear from recognition of her prowess and authority. Even with her age she could still exude such strong and intimidating presence, the Monster portraying such a thing so naturally. After years alone she always had to display herself with much confidence, showing to others that she was not a creature to mess with, and if her demeanor was not warning enough then she was willing to prove it with her teeth and claws. Today though there was no need for such a demonstration.
When she stands perfectly in front of the other both ears swivel atop her ebony skull, pointed towards the girl, waiting quite patiently to know just why she was summoned. With a soft inhale she took in the scent of her, taking note that she did not belong to a pack, and so this was not a visitation from her allies or from those her pack has yet to carry some sort of bond with. As a predator it was not difficult to catch the scent of fear from her. There was no reason to fear, at least, not yet. Hearing the girl stutter from nerves she exhaled slowly patiently waiting for her to finish. As she described herself as a child of the first wolves that held Asteraia one ear twitched. She went to Taviora to visit the ones that were related to Iblis and Rhae, but none came to take up her offer. That a child of theirs would finally come was quite impressive and she wondered if perhaps the crimson she-wolf that was with Majora was the one to tell Isolde to come here. At the pause Tick Tock did not say anything, but she would speak the moment the failed ex-Queen was spoken of. Her cold tone poured out so easily from her black lips as she coolly stated the actions Jaidah had done to herself and what her ultimate fate was.
“She came many times and failed. Jaidah is dead. Asteraia is better now.”
Everything she said was true. Everything she said was factual. Jaidah had come and fought Tobias and herself for a pack she did not deserve, for a pack she did nothing with. Once Tick Tock took control of the pack new wolves came and some old wolves stayed. Each wolf did their own part to help the pack. She accepted all wolves that came binding them to at least one understanding – that all wolves would be accepted should they tolerate one another and their different lifestyle. While other packs had their own hatred for those that enjoyed the taste of their own species, she had shown that a pack could thrive together, no matter their differences. Other packs had grown silent and yet hers remained active. The innocent request to see what became of her former homeland was not one that she would deny. If she wanted to see that Tick Tock had made such a grand pack then she would show her. With a firm nod she turned around her head jutting forward as a silent motion to join her. She would lead Isolde quietly through the fields, the dust of snowing covering it, with a herd of bison nearby and some of the wolves that called the place home looking well-fed and strong as the beginning of winter appeared. She would bring the girl to one of the largest knolls in the lands allowing the girl a better view of her once home, a home she could always return if she wanted to. This is when she speaks softly once more informing the girl on what she saw.
“A shame you came in the winter, but the land still thrives. The pack is strong made of numerous quality wolves. It is a different place than the other packs. Here cannibals and non-cannibals thrive peacefully working harmoniously together. Each wolf no matter their oddity or uniqueness is not judged unfairly, each one is treated in respect. This is my family and this is my home.”
