Tithe’s ears flicked toward Viora when she called out his strange affection for the bones at his paws. They had brought him a comfort and a way to clear his mind when he was deep in thought. A stress relief that was usually subtle to the world around him. It was not subtle enough to escape the attention of Viora, it appeared. Which only added to the fact that she was good at what she did, gathering information, even information that need not have been gathered. The new king did appreciate her claim that he did not need to talk about it, and with another flick of his ears he dismissed the topic. There were far more important things at hand than his habit of playing with small things in the comfort of his own home. Though, now that she brought it up, he was going to be far more careful about when he played with them, and who was around.

He waits and listens for her reactions. Silent, her ears twitching spoke louder than the storm that raged outside. The corner of his lips twitched and his head tilted just slightly in interest. How many different thought pounded through the mind of someone who apparently thoughts so much. Her words were always straight forward and to the point. This day they seemed to have been coming in a rush. Either to prove their worth, or to simply get them out of the way, he could not know. It was clear to see Viora had a lot on her mind at all times. Once more he moved just such to show that she had his full and undivided attention, even as the ground they sat on shook with the crack of thunder.

The words she spoke were voiced with such a passion, Tithe could not help but feel moved in his soul. Before him was no mindless killer, no thief who stole for the sake of the thrill. She plotted and planned and appeared to do her work, her calling even, with a fire the scorched deep. So deep she had to turn away from him it seemed due to the burn. Everything that had been laid before him since she entered his den drew him with an intense interest he could not shake. He had heard of Viora through his time in the pack under the reign of Danny. He also trusted the queen’s judgement on her, or he would not have offered her the position he had. Seeing it before his eyes was another matter entirely.
