It was true that Underidge had spied the life of Abel and felt nothing but disgust. He had no idea why Eden would allow such weakness into the pack yet his mind had been turned to other, more pressing matters of a personal degree, and thus he had not given much though to Abel. The Shade did not dictate that his life be forfeit - despite how complicated such a thing would be to chose between the god within him and the King before him. Underidge suspected that when Abel grew older and was unable to keep up with the demands of things that Eden would finally put an end to him. Perhaps he would banish him rather than kill. Did Eden carry such a weakness? The desire to not harm family for the mere sake of
blood? It was a legitimate question. One that the silver male had not had the chance to put forward to Eden as of yet.
The King does not start at Under's abrupt appearance. He expected nothing less from such a worthy wolf like Eden; there is true grit and brawn and intelligence in his yellow eyes. Slowly Under's ears slide forward, curiosity sparking in his strange eyes. The words lend a fire to his bones, a stirring within him, and he shifts to the side to alleviate some need of movement. Who in Molodian is weak?
The word is like a flame and he is the tinder on which it burns; he ignites, lips peeling back to reveal canines as his mind whirs. But the words, raspy and stretched, come only a scant moment after Eden's voice tapers into silence.
"Your brother. The late King who now haunts the swamps. There are others but they have tucked themselves away where I cannot reach." There is a disdainful note in his voice for they both know that if Underidge truly wanted to reach these wolves he would do whatever was necessary. He takes a step closer to his King.
"Does blood mean more than strength?"
It is almost exciting to question Eden, a thrill at being close to him, at finally having his questions answered. If Eden should say yes then what will Underidge do? He would not be pleased with such an answer, for his own blood meant very litle to him save for one and she had not been seen in a while.
"Diveen has killed one of my fathers. What a waste - his soul could have been useful." There is a bitter note there; he had wished to be the one to purge Attu. It strikes him then how such a detail is intimate, a revelation that he had never given to Eden that Underidge DID have a past.
