G'day folks the C27 Spartan at 35 SQN has a loadmasters who does a traditional role. Like the C130J when we go away for more than a day task,Pilots and Loadmasters can refuel, we take an ATECH(Framie,Sumpie) and an AVTECH(elec, instrument and rad tech). I know this will beg the question why not keep a FLTENG down the back and use him like the Chinook and Caribou but those on a higher pay grade than me made those decisions. Hope this can help. Cheers Hally.
