Sighing, Amber followed carefully after him, testing every surface as if it was ice. Just like falling into a river, pond or ocean, which was something she had done but never wanted to repeat the rest of her life. He seemed to believe that names were real, and that this darkness was too. She of course believed both were also true, but that she'd never been curious about the dark. It was something that happened everyday, and the best way to deal with it was to sleep. Now she was walking into the darkness, and into it's cold. It was not the nice, cool cold of winter, but a cold that seemed to grip you and drill into your bones. Or maybe that was her.
Shaking her head in the forever dark, she listened to his words. The cold returned to a comfortable level, and she had to guess if she didn't think about it, that would not happen again. It better not, or she was taking the first path out of here. That's when she caught the last bit of his words, almost questioning her personality. That was something she would not stand for one bit.
"Fear is something that comes when you are threatened. The cave is not shaking and it's not screaming at us or turning an array of colors, so I believe we are not threatened. Therefore, I have no fear here" the rough sound was wearing surely away to reveal slowly, a nicer, softer voice. As if the misuse itself made her voice louder. But it was still also emotionless.
