The one before her had grown much. She remembers the time when she was first brought into the world. She remembers the dark pups as their eyes were open to the world. She remembers it, and can follow the dots on how one so small has grown so large as the sun rose and fell each time.
Size can be a threatening thing though, but the younger one does not threaten the area of Flare in a way that brings her anxiety. Instead, Flare is pleased by the younger one's approach. She knows that the younger ones must learn, and must explore the world so that their bellies do not feel the rage that her own feels. She does not know for sure that others feel the rage in their belly- she has not real way to confirm it, but her mind knows how one acts when the rage happens. She knows and sees the difference once their mouths consume flesh and their bellies become fat. No, Flare cannot speak, and her mind is not of words, but she understand...she understands much more than many would think. Perhaps she doesn't understand it as others would, but she understands regardless.
The dead creature was a threat. It was not wold- nor was it exactly prey. She did not waste meat, but there is a completely different reason why she killed the fox as she would kill a fawn. The fox has teeth that can harm. It seeks out meat as she seeks out meat. It is not acceptable. Thus it is now dead- the threat eliminated. The young one must learn- this king is to be eliminated on sight. This is only to be seen dead as she throw it towards the young one.
The young one seems curious. The young one's eyes watch the dead one, and the young one tries to toss it back. It is...not much, and Flare creates a growl-bark in response. Her larger, although still very much lithe form of white steps forward. It is a quick, powerful, and deliberate step. Her jaws snap down on the fox around the neck and she shakes the creature violently. It is a show- a lesson...to never be hesitant or weak around such a creature. The fox's body flops around in reaction to Flare's shake. Her lava pools look to the young one. She steps forward again, gently shoving the foxes body towards the young one's mouth, dropping the kill if she does not take it and proceeding to nip on the girl's ear as encouragement.
