Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I was not given to miss the looks of confusion that seemed to pass across the features of Alistair nor the note of enquiry that lingered upon his features at the words he did not comprehend. I had offered, one day, to teach him the Angel Tongue and in time I planned to uphold that which I had offered. Yet today is not such a day, my words now offered to Eden alone and yet as he my form remained passive, calm, as if we discussed nothing of importance nor anything to offer Alistair concern. I did not seek to hide anything from my apprentice so the speak, were he to ask me of my thoughts on it I would offer them freely and yet for this moment at least it was Eden to whom I desired to hear more readily from. How long had when been friends? Confidantes? I had been perhaps wrong to believe the death of Heyel would bring about the death of an empire so easily. Indeed I had expected it to stand all the same, Solara had not been within my plans and yet my blood sister was a far better ruler then Achilles would have ever hoped to be and I am content in how fate has handled such a thing yet it was my belief that another like Heyel may not rise that had perhaps afforded my leniency. A mistake, it would seem- much akin to that made by Covet whom had so stupidly attempted to outsmart the Angel Empire. He had not understood the line of succession, had not understood how a pack may truly be passed and in turn he had perhaps held the most unsuccessful rule Moladion has ever seen before fading into obscurity. It is a shame truly, had he taken the time to understand he may well have proved useful, even to myself. As it was he had been blinded entirely by his own idiocy.

Eden’s words afford the faintest of smiles upon my lips, though it is not a look of joy that becomes it, it is a knowing smile perhaps, a taint of amusement at how it is so we find ourselves in this situation again and with another King, or one soon to be if what I predict will come to pass, my head nodding slowly.

“Hic est sanguis meus, ille vicissim sanguine. Videtur quod in morte Heyel ut agat. Me puer dictum monuit me, ut aiebat ipse per Heyel. Verum ultimum fuisse credidi Calliel Heyel et alumni aliter esset, et cum multum temporis ante mortem suam puer. Scit quantum voluptatis quae non videor posse contendere auderet contradicere. Potentius quam vidisti haec cogitatio. Si quaeritis me pertinere, ut loqueretur ei, si non sola mors tamen bene vult credere.”
(He is of my blood, as he is of your blood in turn. Yet it would seem as I have said that even in death Heyel acts. The boy has been told of me, warned of me, so to say- by Heyel himself. I believed Calliel to have been the last true apprentice of Heyel and in one sense she was, but before his death he spent much time with this boy. He knows much Eden, things i do not think I can reverse. You have seen how potent such thoughts are. If I seek to speak with him I may implicate myself though I do not yet wish to believe his death is the only option.)

I paused, briefly, looking to Eden once more, head tilted in a playful curiosity as if the question I possessed was no more beyond asking after the simple state of his family before our attention in turn moved to Alistair and those words he offered. I was not displeased to hear them, indeed for one so young his efforts were admirable, they were in need perhaps of a little polish and yet he is youthful and it will come in time- my own interjection un-needed perhaps as Eden moves to merely accept a truce of our packs, my head nodded with approval towards Alistair now- for it had been his work to achieve such a thing and surely he should take pride in that.

“Agreed.”

I simply offer in response to Eden before returning my attention to Alistair once more as he sat beside us.

“If you desire to return to the forest now, Alistair, then feel free to do as such. I will speak with Eden a little longer, we have not had much chance to spend time in one another’s company of late.”
