Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

you are the light,
that's leading me
Nose wrinkles at the scent that fills her lungs, her ears slowly falling back. The familiar path beneath her feet and yet why it seems so foreign is lost to her. Pale eyes dim slightly as they attempt to look beyond the border that keeps the peaks. No longer did it hold the sweet scent of Lady Daenerys or the tainted one of Uncle Jericho. In it's place was one unknown. Unsure and confused, she paces slightly. Spirane was her home and yet her instincts deny her the craving to enter. To travel the paths she knew so well and seek out her special place, the one shared with Drogon. Drogon. Where was he? Her heart seems to drop at this. To know he nor his brothers, her little cousins, or even the rest of her family were no longer holding the mountain throne. Where were they and would she even see them again? A soft whine escapes her once smiling lips, as pale eyes take one last look at the worn path that leads into the peaks as she turns and moves back further into the riverside. Feet and heart heavy as an ache spirals along her body.

She does not regret leaving to aid her brother, though the guilt at telling no one she was leaving is hard to swallow. And now it seems things have changed. As she passes by the familiar scenery of the river, fleeting memories of flutter in her mind. For even in her sadness the beauty around her in untainted by the shift. In mid-step she pauses, paw hovering in the air as her head turns and pale eyes look towards the swift river. It had been so long since she had looked in the waters depths, see the reflection it offers. A soft smile, a memory of Haziel passing in her mind. And that is all it takes for to move, no longer away but towards the river. Hoping it would ease and soothe her in the absence of the mountains. The slight sway of her body, as it weaves in and out of the tall grasses that sprout from the bank. Until just ahead, ears twist and turn listening in on the current of water.

Hesitant, she peeks blindly before her; catching glimpses on how her body had adapted to it's adult stage. It feel odd, for even now she can see the small child that had sought refuge by these waters after the death of her father. With a heavy sigh she bravely steps out, pale eyes drawn to the waters edge, despite the slight ripples from the current; desiring to know what she will see. The image that is cast from the reflection causes her head to tilt, admiring the final outcome of what she would become. She did not have the large feet of Drogon, Panzer, nor Everett. Yet she did indeed share the blood red of bother her father and Vladimir. She was still so small, even though she had grown since last. But had she changed so much? Would everyone she once knew recognize her? And if she did indeed find Drogon would he see.... her?

The fear of being forgotten is something that will always weigh heavily on her heart, the need to know and let it be know that her love for all those she cares for will stand the test of time. Even if it is not returned or denied. Her heart will accept nothing other than the bliss she feels for all of them. As a soothing smile touches her lips and a light seems to dance along her eyes. She would never change, she would forever be the little girl that gave her mother that fluffy flower. As a small melody of laughter escapes accompanied by a few wiggles, her small body bounds into the water. Coming down in a splash as the image she worried over is nothing more than a distorted blur upon the surface. The slight flutter in her heart now adamant in seeking out those she missed, even if it meant forever searching. A slap of her paw upon the water as her mind had already declared Drogon the first upon her list. The dark dragon had been missed, her heart screamed it so.
