Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

nothing could
take the pain away
Anger, so much anger. It is like a machine that never dies. Constantly churning and flooding his veins in a fire that cannot be doused. When the wall had finally fell, nothing had been safe. There was no right nor wrong. There were only bodies, bodies that were foreign to him. He cannot remember just what had provoked him nor why it had been the breaking point. All he knew was the flesh of his mother between his teeth as she had stepped between him and whatever had taken his attention. Shielding her beast from what could have been dire consequences. The screams of his family fell on deaf ears as him and his mother collided like trains, the impact is still a fresh memory and a phantom ache still seems to echo through his body. Only when his sister had stepped in to view, that lovely and fragile sight; tears clouding those pale green eyes had he paused. Clenched jaws releasing their mother as she dropped to the earth. What had been rage now screaming in guilt and sorrow. Yet still his voice refused to come out, even when inside he roared his agony at harming one he cared for. Everything after that is a blur, a stream of images his mind cannot comprehend. For it was Semele and Mother that whisked him away, left all they had loved to care for him. Attempt to ease his pain and anger. They gave him nothing but forgiveness and acceptance, hoping he could be saved by the same rage that seemed to swallow his bloodline. But still now, he isn't even sure he is worth saving or if he wants too.

A low growl seems to cling between his teeth as with each powerful step the muscle and meat seem to ripple through his body. A low hum seems lodged in his chest, much quieter than before the incident yet always present despite the fact. Sunset eyes blink lazily along the landscape as the familiar scenery of home begins to take shape. Nose twitches and wrinkles as he follows her lingering scent. It had been a few days since Semele had returned and in the time away she had become an anchor to him, along with his other sisters Lailah and Liah. Their love seems to know no bounds. He clung to it, either out of desperation or perhaps greed. Either way, it would seem they were now the balm to his burn, for he never again wanted to see pain in their eyes least of all pain he had created. It is only when her scent seems to branch off, disappearing into the valley nearby does he pause. Tempted to rejoin her and feed off the peace and happiness that forever surrounded her. But when he moves to take a step a guilty voice whispers and he cannot ignore it's truth. One last look in her direction and he shifts towards the woodlands. Knowing she would be seeking out those she had left because of him and he did not want to take her away from that with his presence.

Weaving in and out of the cypress, massive paws sink slightly into the muck under his weight. The aroma of the swampy terrain staining his lungs. For a moment a brief growl seeps from between his lips before it is choked back down. Instincts battling with will. It was something he was getting use to doing, standing frozen as his own war raged within. Only when his body had come to terms with a choice does his move yet again, this time only silence escapes him. Stepping up upon a fallen tree, pushing heavily upon it's trunk to see if it would hold his weight. From it's rotten and mossy appearance it did not seem promising, but the only outcome was a slight groan from the wood. Satisfied he jumps up, settling himself in the middle as he plops almost lazily down. His head hanging slightly off the side as eyes blink towards the direction of the valley. Ears constantly twisting and turning, waiting for a sign that she needs him. Only then will he go to her until then he would not stain her beauty with his rage. As sunset eyes fall behind closed lids and the light of the sun straining from the tops, he rests. Knowing there was nothing to fear when the fear of himself outweighed it all.
