The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Satchael was bored. She was so bored, that the daring young lass almost regretted that she had followed Herchel all the way to this dreadful land simply to do nothing. At least back in their homeland, while the closely knit duo had been excluded and frowned upon, there was always something going on. If Azriel and Elijah weren't terrorizing the entire pack with their antics and fighting, Zachariah was twisting his web amidst the elders and filling Satchael's ear with all sorts of gossip and promises. The warrioress had expected, when Lucifer demanded their presence, that they would be both welcome and busy within these new lands. Something they had never been at home. However, the land Lucifer claimed had become empty and stale. Reeking only of the phoney raveness that had twisted Lucifer's attention away from his pack, and a young blind girl who was of no use to the masked bandit.

And so the yin and yang painted marionette rose from the spot where she had been sleeping for what felt like eons, and wound herself around her brother. Her jaw rubbed against the top of his skull, winding it's way slowly down, her nose feathering it's way along his jaw, slipping under his cranium. Satchael had gone from standing above her matching counterpart, to nestled into what might appear a lovers embrace, her alabaster and midnight hairs melding perfectly with Herchel's and a soft purr rumbled through her chest. "Herchel I'm bored" She whined dramatically, causing fire opal lanterns to open halfway and a grunt to slip from her second half. "Then go patrol the borders"

Patrol the borders. It was the job Lucifer had given Herchel and Satchael when they first arrived, and because the brindled demon had spoken, Herchel would patrol those borders until he breathed his last breath if Satchael allowed it. "We've been doing that." her feminine voice grumbled, ivory canines tugging gently on Herchel's audit. "Come and play, I'm hungry." She purred softly, perhaps the lure of food could tug this stoic warrior away from his bound duty to the devil's incarnate. However hot disappointment flooded icy veins when Herchel grunted again, dismissing his sister. "Lucifer promised us glory and an army and this place is emptier than his soul." The marionette hissed, her voice saccharine sweet. The deceptive note in her tone was not hidden from the gladiator laying at her paws, however still, one midnight auditory flickered up, listening to the slander as it slid innocently from the femme fatale's lips. "This land is full of wolves and packs. Surely Lucifer wouldn't mind if we simply... occupied ourselves for a few days. He won't even know we've left."

Promises slipped desperately now from Satchael's snow white lips, her hot breath kissing the coal hairs that covered Herchel's aud, her body circling him now, pressed tightly against his firm physique. "We'll go to that pack where he sent that blind girl, do the job she couldn't... maybe even, scout it out?"

Herchel lifted his skull and looked at his sister carefully, the two toned warrior knew if the slender vixen escaped from the lands of Malignant she would not return, and the loyalties of this oddly painted hessian had always belonged first and foremost to Lucifer. However Satchael's words rang true, the brindled demon had promised the soulless pair all the glory they could imagine, and had delivered none of it. Herchel had not even seen the brute since the day they arrived at the border and even though the yin and yang painted gladiator would have laid down his life for Lucifer in another land, hid patience had worn thin. Satchael had already left Herchel behind, her ghostly banner slipping out of sight between the trees. She already knew Herchel would follow, and the boy did.

Rising up on his trio of alabaster paws and the single evening painted one, Herchel bounded after Satchael, catching up to her leisurely pace quickly, sharp ivories pierce pure icy fur and nip at the skin of his sister, urging her forward and a high pitched giggle slips from her lips, tossing a coy look behind her she spurts forward, weaving in and out between the trees, guiding Herchel with the sound of her laugh and the last remnants of her thick winters pelt. Herchel himself had taken much time grooming, and weeding out the thick fur, Satchael however preferred to lose the thick coat during excursions such as this. The coffee and crème dyed eagle galloped forward, flashes of ivory between the green of summer's brush telling him he was on the right trail. Herchel was stronger, but Satchael was faster. The pair complimented eachother perfectly, as the wove through the thick dark forest, splashing through rivers and loping easily down trails.

Satchael skidded to a stop suddenly, and Herchel crashed into his carbon copy at full force, sending the two tumbling across Abendrot's border and right into the packlands. A shrill shriek slipped from Satchael's lips and she nipped her brother's shoulder, laughing as her adrenaline skyrocketed, should any discover the mirror image twins, surely the king of these lands would order them to be strung amongst the trees and disemboweled. A coal hued paw swatted teasingly at Satchael's skull as she scooted backwards, righting herself upward and behind the border, and Herchel did the same.

Almost instantaneously a figure appeared in Herchel's peripheral vision and hellfire portals shift to look upon the girl before him. She was worn down and tired, stumbling over her words and almost her paws. Not missing a beat Satchael smiled sweetly and moved toward the unknown wolf, looking over at Herchel before running her two toned pelt against the new vixen before her, purring softly. "Don't worry dear we wouldn't dream of it." she murmured softly, the gears in her mind already turning as she examined the marionette. This girl was off, her physique weary and tired, and Satchael was hungry. Purring again Satchael worked her way up the other side of the timberess, standing before her, her voice sticky sweet. "Lucifer sent us with these absolutely boring details of an alliance... but Herchel and I are sooo hungry... What's your name dear? Aren't you hungry too?"
