During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The pack had dispersed quietly, none of the wolves coming forward to claim a title, but Ameira had stuck around until at last darkness and pinpricks of light painted the sky above, and then and only then did she retire, but not to her den. Though the days of summer had been hot, the nights were comfortable. Within the lands she stayed, and upon the hill she slept. Lowering her body to the earth that was already cooling, she laid her head upon her paws and shut her lids, sleep slowly overcoming her until at last her fell asleep beneath the stars above.

Her slumber lasted but a few minutes before she a perfume crossed her nostrils and woke her gently. The only reason it woke her at all was because it was one that she did not know - it was a lassie, but that was the only thing that she could tell.... Other than the fact that it was quite clearly not a wolf who was part of her pack. Rising to her silken paws she trotted down the hill and pushed through the briars, an easy pace leading her to the edge of the pack. Her lilacs caught sight of a kalak and was glad that she could at least name the breed. "Are you lost, lassie, to be at our boundaries in the middle of the night, or perhaps you have a reason to be present?"

OOC - sorry this is so short - short on muse... I am on oncology rotation right now and there is so much sadness ugh
