He was silent, a veritable ghost in his new home, the way he liked it. He had not been fashioned in the same way as his King-brother, he had no aspirations or goal, no drive to run a pack. He was not a submissive wolf, and he would never show happiness. Remnant was the brother who simply protected his family, and he knew his place. As the eldest, it was his holy mission to protect his brother in all things, even from himself. Lucifer could be wild, crazed and downright psychopathic, but then, so could Remnant and their sister Hael. They were the original family, from a long line of warriors who became kings. Lucifer's rebellion had only helped them, it freed some of the wolves who thought like Lucifer and it allowed him to gain a hold here. Still, it seemed just having a kingdom was not enough these days.
The male had been following the young deer for a while now, but he was finally close enough to grab her. Launching himself forward, the male is airborn landing down on top of the prone doe. She had finally relaxed and Remnant caught her by the throat. Shaking his massive head, Remnant breaks her neck and sets her down. That's when the call for the pack went up. Loathe to lose another meal, the big male simply carries the carcass to Lucifer. The fawn looked so small, tender...he wasn't sure he could wait for the meeting to eat. It was strange to have others around him, but he went anyway. One paw in front of the other, trying to ignore the taste of blood in his mouth, he wanted to eat so badly. Lucifer had told him of his mate and now the queen of Malignant.
There would be a ceremonial fastening, Rem mused, and who better to bring the snacks than the hefty hunter? When he finally got there, the doe hanging from his jaws, he inclined his head to the king and queen, always so formal in his gesturing. "My Lord, my Lady...I am..glad you have found each other." He never was very happy, but he could say he was genuinely so this go round. Lucifer had been looking a long time for a woman to bed down with, and it seemed he found one who matched him. Despite her darkness, she put a light in his brother, and he would never begrudge a wolf who could do that. He looks around at the others, the long legged ones caught his eye, but he made no attempt to communicate unless they spoke to him.
