How she got to these grounds she did not know. She had been lost in her own mind for hours. Walking mindlessly through unknown lands was a terribly idiotic thing to do, and yet she did not care. She felt safer in her own mind than in this world. Her amber eyes were focused on nothing in particular, and possibly from a distance she looked like she knew where she was going. One would hope she had that at least going for her so she did not look naïve and childish. Her steps were short and slow as she barely lifted her hooves off the ground. She could faintly feel the cool, spring wind blow her silver mane behind her as she maneuvered through this unknown island.

Nothing could keep her from going to that place; the place where she felt safe and secure. It was the only time she ever felt powerful and there was nothing that could take that away from the silver woman. She imagined Estella flaunting through the field with her dark tail held almost as high as her dished head. She was a sight to behold: a curvy, dark bay vixen that stole the looks of many stallions in the area Even if their attention was once with another mare, Estella took it away for a few seconds. She was confident in her looks and one could easily tell. Estella had it all and could have anything she ever wanted. Aerie never knew how any of that felt, to have the full attention of any man; to feel like the most beautiful mare in the world; to have confidence radiate off of her.

The silver mare knew she was a pretty little thing as stallions would glance at her here and there. But that is all she has. She’s pretty. Not gorgeous, not sexy, not the most beautiful woman there is, but she is worth a second glance. But even if someone found her attractive at first, that would soon fade when they tried to converse with her. She knew she was awkward and it did not help that she was shy. This caused a lot of insecurity to dwell within her, which forces her to keep to herself. Being alone has given her a lot of time to herself and was how Estella became real to her. With such an unexciting life, why not dream up some excitement as an alter ego of yourself? She saw nothing wrong with the idea.

Estella danced towards a shady oak that stood near many others in the field before stopping in her tracks to take in the land. Aerie decided to follow her footsteps (minus the graceful trot of course) and nestled under the large tree. Some may call her silly for living in her own world, why wouldn't they? What is appealing of a grown woman who spends her spare time thinking up ideas for someone she wished she could be? Nothing at all.
