Welcome to the RAAF Airman Aircrew Association Message Board. It is for all to use whether airman aircrew or not, however the majority of us who frequent this message board are former or current RAAF aircrew, associates or enthusiasts who want to be 'in the know'. We must be certain, however, that we do not disclose any information which may compromise the security of the ADF or its personnel and we also must be certain not to criticise or to pass judgment on others. 'THINK' before you post, or if you aren't sure, 'DON'T POST'. Re(1): 36 SQN Colours

Yes Bob, in spite of all good intentioned efforts to preserve one’s old squadron history the "modern" ADF seems reluctant to formally recognise and INCLUDE all those who contributed their expertise to safely operate the airframes of the past era and still hold their own individual squadron in high esteem.

In years to come the current operators will be the same as us, old, retired squadron members who are frustrated because the “modern” ADF of their era does the same to them.

At least we have our own network to ensure those memories remain when we meet our mates for our reminiscing sessions. The Airman Aircrew Association Reunions every 2 years is a great forum to catch up and reminisce.

History makes you smart. Heritage makes you proud
