Re(2): Canadian DNA results on Cougar evidence

Gauthier is right, they are not FUNDING research. BUT, there have indeed been confirmations Helen. Don't you remember your firm statement there were no females east of the Mississippi last year, and wouldn't be for decades? (In fairness others stated that too). Well now Helen, that is also outdated. If your theory is that the cougar population in Canada is shrinking just because nobody it out there doing active studies, that one won't work either. The current estimate is 800 cougars between Ontario and Quebec. I posted (look back you will find it) an incident RIGHT ON the US border where they relocated a cougar that had wandered into a populated area. That's not a confirmation? Boy you sure raise the bar there Helen. No study going, so we cannot confirm a cougar that was physically relocated? That spot was less then 30 miles from the US border. Maybe we should build a wall?
