The 2016 Carden Challenge, with 11 teams participating, turned up a total of 146 bird species, 18 mammals, 9 reptiles and 7 amphibians, 25 dragonflies & damselflies, and 22 butterflies. Two new bird species for the Challenge - a Redhead duck on Lake Dalrymple and a White-winged Scoter on Canal Lake. Raised over $23,000 for conservation of the Carden Alvar.
