It was well known within Asteraia that there were wolves that lived within the fields that should never be trifled with. Here there were wolves that lived peacefully among one another without much concern of their diet. The Monster made it clear to the wolves that favored food that was considered, wrong, that they were to only eat wolves that were loners – not pack wolves. The last thing she needed was a pack to come along her borders and threaten the well-being of her pack. Loner wolves did not live within a pack and therefore were free game. It may seem harsh to others and yet it was a fair deal. Lone wolves lived in a threatening environment, she herself knew such a harsh life, and understood that only the strong could survive in those conditions. Tithe came to ask why her wolves did what they did, and after explaining, and letting him know that only the weak or the young would be eaten - as if wolves were prey - he seemed a bit understanding. There was a reason why no one dared to trespass into these fields and it would seem two souls clearly didn't get the message. As always actions have consequences.

Earlier that day she was moving through the fields and noticed one of Psyche and Samhain pup's hopping and loping about within the tall grass. Curious she headed over not having much on her agenda today, finding herself quite content with spending some time with the child. At times she would give the pups a gift of some sort, a piece of rabbit hide, bones from a bison, anything the little ones could play with. After all just because she was quiet and stoic didn't mean there wasn't a part of her that was capable of having some fun. She had no toys to give him that day, but she found that he did not need some sort of object to play with. He seemed to have found a friend, a friend that was free game to be eaten by her own, but luckily Tobias was not about to take the child's life. Tick Tock had no idea why the pup would come into the fields, but she was content with having the child with Thoth, thinking it was good he was with her. She was sure that one day the Mother or Father would come in search of their child and so she headed for the border in the direction the children came from. As she approached the border she noticed the familiar sight of Galileo and an unknown she-wolf up ahead. Her ears twitched forward to listen and when she heard the woman speak ill to her Nazgul - all she could see was red.

A low growl began to rumble within her chest as her paws dug into the ground launching her frame forward. Her thick ebony and grey fur stood out on end as she came up towards the two, purposefully putting herself between the she-wolf and Galileo. Black lips were pulled back to reveal her own deadly fangs that had pierced the flesh of failed challengers, quite ready to defend her own on this day. At certain times she was calm, but a threat against her own especially within her own lands had caused the Alpha to toss aside her more calm demeanor. Any other Alpha would be like her, in a more defensive position, when a stranger was in their lands threatening their own wolf. The Monster could not be blamed. Usually by now she would have dug her fangs into the the throat of a wolf that was foolish enough to come and bring harm to her own, and yet, she steadied herself. Her dial was held high in a dominant fashion, dark sapphire eyes narrowed as a snarl was unleashed, a clear warning that Enya should immediately change her position. The Monster's voice cold, firm, and spoken very...very softly.

"A threat against my own or any in my pack, is a threat against me."

In truth the Monster had every right to destroy and kill Enya. Everyone was well aware of wolf law. If there was a pack you do not trespass and you have risked your life to do so. It was common knowledge that if one trespassed they were putting their own life at risk. No one would blame Tick Tock for doing a duty that any other Alpha would do. She could not be held on trial for doing the wrong thing, because any Alpha would have done the same. Luckily for Enya though, Tick Tock would not end her life on this day on this spot. As long as Enya didn't continue to screw up. In her mind there were three strikes. Strike 1 - she trespassed. Strike 2 - she threatened Galileo. Strike 3 - well it would be best if Enya didn't push her luck and give herself another strike. As the Monster stands there her black nose inhales the strange woman's scent finding it matches to the pup she had saw earlier with Thoth. There was a side of the Monster that understood the need to take care of one's young and she could not fault the woman for wanting to look for her own flesh and blood, but the other side of her didn't think this was the proper way to do it. For a moment her dial would turn to look over Galileo checking him for a moment to make sure that Enya did not attack him and then she turned back to look at the girl. Speaking once more her voice was steady and authoritative, and eerily calm.

“Whether you lost your child or not within my lands doesn’t excuse you for attitude nor your inability to respect common wolf laws. You are trespassing and I have every right to kill you where you stand."

She pauses for a moment keeping her eyes locked on Enya's own - allowing the gravity of the situation to help Enya realize that perhaps she should indeed calm down. Emotions run high especially on Mother's and yet the Monster was giving the girl a chance to think things through for a moment and not be controlled by her emotions.

“There is a pup matching your description playing with one of the pups that lives here, and she is safe. However, you need to control yourself and calm down, and once you do I will take you to her. I will not allow you to enter any further with the way you are acting right now, because all that anger you hold you might accidentally attack one of my own – and I will not allow that. Do you understand?”

The Monster stands there patiently waiting for Enya to accept that she should change her attitude. She remains between her Galileo and Enya, not wanting the girl to lash out in her anger against her own. She would rather take the attack and spare one of her favorite wolves from any harm. He was a gentle wolf, a good wolf, and she did not want him to be hurt.
