The time has come for those among you who seek a higher purpose within the pack to put your paw forward in the endeavor. With this new age of Spirane, many of the ranks that were long held by others have become available once more. Every wolf holds an equal chance to work towards these ranks. You need only voice your intention to do so, and you will have already taken the first step towards your goal.
Anyone wishing to begin their journey to one of the ranks not listed here, please let me know and I will inform you of your tasks.
The ranks of Hand and Justiciar have become available; however these are extremely important and sensitive ranks within the pack heirarchy. Personalized tasks will be set for each wolf interested in these positions.
Castellan:
Please look for a note from Sleekwing about this position.
Maester:
These tasks can be completed by seeking out the assistance of a trained healer from our ranks or from another pack.
1. Learn about the plants, minerals, and other natural resources used in healing. Also how to gather, store, and preserve them. Begin to collect and build your own personal pharmacopeia that you will be able to use in times of need for the pack.
2. Find out how to cope with one of the following situations that can present in a troubled birthing: massive blood loss from the mother or a pup that is struggling to breath and nurse.
3. A healer should be able to treat both the body and mind. Learn about ways to aid in soothing an anxious wolf, calming one with rage, and comforting someone who may be depressed. The remedies should be two-fold: medicinal and psychotherapeutic.

Warden:
1. Travel to Glorall and learn if Eden has made alliances with any other packs (meet with a pack member, not an alpha). Learn about what their pack may be lacking, and report back to me on your findings so that we may discuss a potential alliance.
2. Orchestrate an interpack mingling of some sort with one other pack who is a current or previous ally of ours (Diveen, Iromar, or Taviora). This could be a hunt, gathering of youths, perhaps a support group for mothers, or something else of your own design. The purpose of this is to rebuild trust between our packs and create an avenue for an alliance to be reestablished.
**3. Seek out Tithe and learn of his well being both physically and mentally. He was once a wolf that I trusted greatly, though he came to be a wolf I could not recognize the day I reclaimed the mountains. Discern whether or not he is a threat to our pack, and report your findings to me.
**If more than one wolf pursues this rank, the second wolf will be sent to meet with and learn about Roman, as there will be no need to bombard Tithe with multiple visits. If a third wolf pursues this rank, another task will be assigned.

Palfrey:
1. Successfully steal one wolf from the freelands. Use you best judgement when choosing a target, as they will not remain captive for more than one week's time, at which point they will be given the choice to become a member of Spirane or go about their lives as they had before.
2. Our neighbor, Taviora, has a new leader, and so our former alliance with them is uncertain. Venture north and learn about the change of leadership and why Amoxtli stepped down (meet with a pack member, not an alpha). Report back to me on your findings, and advise me on whether you think we should extend an offer of alliance once more.
3. Meet with a healer here in Spirane, or the lead healer of one of another pack, and learn the basics of healing - the best ways to stop bleeding, how to manage pain, and how to treat a burn.
4. Engage in a spar with a member of the armament, or the Castellan. Learn the tactical skills required to defend yourself and others; this task will be deemed complete when your skills are deemed satisfactory by whomever is your teacher.
5. Participate in a small two wolf hunt with a member of the armament or liege. Learn the best ways to take down prey when hunting in a group, to keep the damage to those involved minimal.
Once you have completed two of these tasks you will be moved to the rank of Vassal. Upon completion of all five you will become the Palfrey.

Bard:
1. Gather at least 3 of the pups*** from this past spring and tell them a story. This story can be fact or fiction, but teach the youth of our pack a valuable lesson while keeping them engaged. It is high time they began socializing beyond their littermates.
***Each pup must be played by a different member. At least two of the pups must be from Spirane, though loner pups and pups from allied packs are welcome as well.

Courser:
1. Organize a small hunt, including at least one youngwolf (age 1-3). Successfully complete a hunt while also teaching this younger wolf a lesson in pack cooperation. The hunting party should consist of no more than 4 wolves, so choose your prey carefully.

Vanguard:
1. Meet with an influential member of the band of loners who call themselves gypsies. Learn of their group's opinions on the packs of Moladion, and whether they would be interested in visiting Spirane. The only catch - you must disguise yourself so that this wolf does not know you are a wolf of the mountains.
2. While you are responsible for keeping the pack informed on the going-ons outside the pack, you should also be familiar with what happens at home. Meet with a wolf who joined the pack during the times of Roman or Tithe. Learn what drew them to the mountains, and why they chose to stay.
Mercenary:
1. As Mercenary, you are partly responsible for making sure those of Spirane are worthy of the pack. Seek out a member from among the Crones, Liege, Seneschals, Stewards, or Apprentices (who is not ^pending promotion) and get to know them. Afterwards, come see me and advise me on whether you think they should remain in the pack and why, and also offer a suggestion for a future rank that might suit their skills or personality.
(You may select 2a or 2b to complete, you do not need to do both)
2a. To prove your capability to ward off invaders or enemies, choose a wolf of the pack to spar with. This can be whomever you would like, but preferably someone you feel can challenge you.
2b. To prove your capability to identify wolves worthy of the pack of Spirane, steal one wolf from the freelands that you think would make a good addition to the pack. They will be kept captive for only one week and then will be allowed to decide to stay or go.
