Nothing but joy filled the small body of the puppy when her friend had asked her if she wanted to go! Of course she wanted to travel to see a different pack, a different realm, a different world! All of the new things and new places to meet! Solstice could barely get the words out of her mouth before Masque was climbing all over Taika, begging to be allowed to go! As she pointed out, it would be one of the first time she would be leaving with permission and if permission were not granted… she would go anyway. Laughing in her defeat, Taika gave her child her heartfelt permission to go on this adventure which caused the girl to all but zoom out of the den in any direction she saw fit. Not three yards away she came racing back, clearly just discovering she had no idea where she was going. Grinning in their own mirth, Samhain, Solstice, and Taika also got to their feet to gather around and listen to a story of old. With a deep sigh, Taika once more trusted that the wolves of Taviora would watch over her shyer daughter while she provided more escort to her wayward child.
All along the trails to the other packs Masque bounced and ran along with the reckless abandon that had once embraced Taika at such a young age. She stuck her still mildly scarred face into every hole she could find, tail wagging in greeting at the everything and nothing she found in each one of them. Occasionally she trotted back and padded quietly beside her mother before bounding off again. Determined to show that she could be trusted though, she was sure to remain within eyesight of the adults. If she behaved this time, maybe she would be allowed to explore more often! The thought set her body quivering in anticipation. Think of all the things she could do! All the places she could see! The mystery and the opportunities were endless!
Once they had all reached the plains and Samhain had sent his call into the sky the honey and shadow girl raced around the group that slowly started to form. Slowly other wolves started to trickle in and the adults lingered along the outside. Taika stretched happily, her tail wagging and sending a yip to Roman and Morrigan, her wandering friends. Grinning she settled herself to listen to the story that would be told. Masque however, jumped from adult to adult (not knowing they were friends of Taika’s). She looked beside her and saw Nico and Vesta be approached by Solstice’s friendly and polite intrusion. Though filled with energy, Masque was not entirely without manners. Another pup showed up. Her eyes went wide when she realized this newcomer smelled of an entirely different place. Beelining for Abel, Masque semi-followed Solstice’s example and did not tackle the boy into the ground. Instead she ran jump, landed in a bow at his feet, and looked up at him, her body a quiver.
Hello! I am Masque! Maybe he will tell a story of daring adventures! Stunning heroes! Far off place and faries of fantasy! Her tongue rolled out and she sat beside Abel, sniffing at him. You seem like a brave hero! Maybe he will tell a story about you! Her honey mask shined bright with the summer sun. The smile that shined up at him was even more dazzling in her lilac eyes. Fear and fraught were non-existent in her mind. Everything pushed away to hear a story of a daring adventure and to share it with others around her.
