The male was unsure of what was going on with the female that he had been sharing his den with for the past few months. He still was not sure what was going on with his feelings for her. He had never been the type to just fall for someone, especially someone that was not similar to him and it seemed that there was nothing similar between himself and Macaria. But there was something between them before he had left on business and Macaria had wandered out of Abendrot’s borders to learn more about healing. But when the two had come back and he had seen what was going on between her and two strangers, he knew that she was different. The male had never been attracted to her the way that he was when he saw her that evening, blood on her form, but not her own. Something had changed in her, something had made her dark. And Grey Wind loved it. But the male could not focus on that now. He would be sure to figure out what had happened with her when they were alone after the meeting. The female was cleaning herself when she turned to meet his gaze, "I suppose you have realized by now that I am back. I met only one other healer, but I will find more, don't you worry, dearie. Now for the pair of cooks that brought me my supper...where might they be?" Even her tone was different, more confident and sure. "Yes, I concluded that you were indeed back” He spoke sarcastically, but not rudely to her, a new found respect that he did not have for her before coming out. "I’m sure the information you have acquired is good, but as I know nothing of healing the more you know the better. And I do not know where they ended up or if they will join us. We should discuss later, in private, of your relationship with them.”
The first wolf to answer his call was Mabbit. The male had been around for a while, and he was pleased with his continued loyalty. “Hello, Grey Wind.” The male nodded to the other, giving him a curt greeting as well. "Hello Mabbit. It is good to see you here.” The next to join them was a younger female, Ambrosia. She was polite and bowed her head as she greeted him. "I don't know if you remember me, I was taken in by Halina. My name is Ambrosia." The larger male nodded, he made sure not to forget names and faces once he met another. "Yes, Ambrosia I do remember you. I hope Halina has been training you well and that you have adjusted into this pack.” The next to join the meeting was two mated females, Halina and Ygritte. Their scents had not been on the borders when he came back and he wondered if they too took a vacation. Halina first greeted Ambrosia while Ygritte gave him a nod of greeting, which he silently returned. His beta’s blue gaze then looked over Macaria before speaking, “Interesting…your pet gets more intriguing every time you bring her out, Grey Wind. So, what is new?” The male let out a snort of laughter at her words, not before thinking of Macaria as his pet, but he could see how it appeared that way. Grey Wind still did not know what to call her. His gaze flickered to the other female before turning back to Halina, "It seems that her trips to learn more healing for our pack has changed her indeed. Not much has changed. I went to visit my brother, Summer, but nothing has changed for him either since he lost his pack. How have you and your family been?”
The group that had gathered were then joined by the twin looking vargs that he had met at the borders with Macaria. Grey Wind had not taken the time to welcome them into the pack then, wanting to get the pack meeting underway and knowing they would come if they wanted to join. The female entered first, coming right up to him and bowing before him, her nares touching his paws before she rose and addressed him. "Your highness, I apologize for my delay, however I have just learned that my previous employer has abandon his post, and Malignant has fallen into chaos. In light of this, my brother, Herchel, who is following shortly behind me, and I would like to offer you our services. I think you will find that our skill set much outweighs any cons that our... unique appetite might bring. And of course, I assure you, both our loyalty to you, and all of your pack members." While she spoke the male, her brother, joined them, nodding behind her to show that he agreed with her words. He too lowered his form in a submissive stance, and he knew that he would accept them both into Abendrot. "Thank you for the offer of your services. You are both welcome to this pack as long as you remain loyal. The only other information I require is your name, ma’am.”
Before he began the pack meeting, Macaria moved herself closer to the other male, and the unfamiliar feelings of jealousy rose inside of Grey Wind. He had felt more and more possessive of the female, though he had no right to as she was not his to be jealous over, at least not yet. A sour taste came into his mouth, but he pushed it down, focusing instead on the last two vargs to join them. Lupin, one of the other lupines that Halina had taken on had come to join them as well. He went right to trio’s side, giving Grey Wind a nod of greeting. The older male remained silent but also nodded to the older pup. So far Lupin had been a silent varg at the meetings, and he wondered what made him tick. Lastly Azula came into the group as well, giving him a quiet hello that he returned. The multi-hued female went to sit beside Mabbit, and he noticed that the two of them seemed to becoming close. Grey Wind rose to his paws, shaking out his pelt as he looked around at the others that had gathered. He still was unsure if they would ever be joined by some of the wolves that used to reside regularly within Abendrot. Marx being the biggest one he wondered about. The other male had been the trainer of soldiers and he had been one to help train Grey Wind more and teach him of Abendrot’s ways, having regularly sparring sessions, something he was ready to start again.
The large male then addressed the group, raising his vocals to the group that had answered his call. "Thank you all for coming, it is good to see that Abendrot’s numbers grow as we welcome new wolves to our ranks. As I’m sure you all have noticed, not much has gone on within Abendrot as of late, and I apologize for my absence from you all. I do want to change that however. But first, it has been some time since we talked about ranks. Halina will remain as Beta, Mabbit and Azula will continue to hold the Delta position. Macaria will be moving up to Zeta with her continued training and more efforts as a healer. Ambrosia will be move up to Iota with her continued loyalty to this pack. For the two newcomers, you will start as Omegas but will move up based on your actions and loyalty to this pack.” He paused for a moment, waiting to see if they would have any questions about the ranks and his decisions. "Now the other thing I would like to set up while you are all here, is some training sessions. I need volunteers to lead a joint spy and assassin training, as many of those skills in stealth and hiding can be shared, and for another to lead a training session for our soldiers. Are there any volunteers for these two positions?” The alpha waited patiently, hoping that some would step up and show that they were an active part of this pack.
"Fight back,"He snarled.
