Yesterday, around noon, a senior bass fishermen that we all know, who usually shows up to either launch or retrieve his boat, near the tournament ending time, as slowly as he can, all the while ensuring he causing havoc in the parking lot at Bob's, arrived accompanied by a partner about his same age. The lot was a mess of confusion already as three or more trucks were jockeying to launch a boat. Our boat owner gets his partner to sit in his boat while he backed his trailer onto the ramp. He hollered to his partner to lower the motor a tad, but his partner, being unfamiliar with the green Ranger's many accessories, mistook the power poles down switch for the trim switch. Yep, you can guess what happened. He deployed the power poles in the parking lot as the boatowner was backing near the ramp. The owner seemed impervious to the many screams to "Stop" and managed to move several feet before coming to a halt. The dollar amount for repairs are unknown at the moment, but the owner seemed pleased that he could now take the boat and power pole setup in for some real repairs. Replies:
