Precursor: AT ANY RATE, I HAVE AN OPEN POST FOR NICCI AT MISTY MOUNTAIN.

So most of you know my character Kahlan. Well. she is base off of a character from a book series called "The Sword of Truth" - one of my favorite series. I just adopted Nicci from Alesana, who is another character in that series. And I would love to run a plot based off this book. But a lot will need to be changed...

The series s a short blob - Richard is a simpleton who finds out he is a powerful sorcerer/royalty. He falls in love with Kahaln who is a Confessor (has power to make others confess their sins, but it changes that person forever to love the Confessor to obsession and follow their every command, who they once were is gone). The pair of them go on many adventures, and eventually Richard is stolen away to help him control his magic and one of his teachers there is Nicci, who he thinks is a Sister of the Light, but she has forgone her vow and becomes a Sister of the Dark (worships the devil).

At another point he is kidnapped by Mord-Sith - people (mainly girls) who have been kidnapped as children and tortured until they can withstand large amounts of pain and become torturers themselves. But they are the protectors of the Rahls, so once Richard finds out he is royalty, they become his protectors and friends.

I'm not what I want the plot to be, but maybe something along these lines:

Kahlan doesn't know much about Confessors (and right now is broken and apathetic anyway over in Moondown Shadows) but knows the key to Confessors - an herb (as opposed to magic) that makes wolves tell her only the truth and then will kill them.

Maybe have a Richard (or you could go by Rahl - his last name which is a cooler name than Richard). Him and Kahlan don't have to fall in love, but could be old friends. He would be an amazing warrior who found out he is royalty but doesn't want it.

Some sisters of the Light who worship the gods (if you want ideas some names are Verna, Annalisa, Alessandra, Kerena, Janet) ... Some sisters of the Dark (some names - Ulicia, Armina, Cecilia, Greta, Jodelle, Perditta, Merissa) who worship the devil... Both are great fighters and herbologists and can enlist poisonous plants...

some Mord-Sith... (Some names: Cara, Bernadette, Denna, Alina, Triana)

A battle...

And eventually Nicci realizing that she is loyal to Richard and loves him (although again - doesn't need to end up in romance) and gives up her title as a sister of the dark.

Other possible characters:

Jagang - Emperor who is cruel with terrible power who kidnaps Nicci at one point and tortures her mercilessly. Has a vast armor

Darken - Richard's father. Nasty man who abuses women and rules an empire, he is an emperor

Drefan - Richard's half brother who has a vast knowledge of pressure points and herbs and uses it to heal... But also to kill and torture!

Dell "Chase" - Richard's best friend. A game warden who does boundary control
